I think you'll find the old adage 'if you don't shoot you don't score' is what fits the bold bit you wrote. It wasn't that far wide of the post and it's not like Sibley doesn't have a decent shot on him.

Certainly does, but it won’t happen - the EFL are writing the rule on that right now!
Also I won’t be there on Saturday as it is my middle son’s wedding

in which case we should have been given loads of penalties this season because of the blatant tome-wasting done against us.

When I ref I visit both dressing rooms pre match and tell the teams what I expect of them and what they may expect of me. I also tell them what I, absolutely, will not accept. I deliver on what I say. Never any problems. Why? Because I tell what I'm going to do and then do it.
A couple of seasons ago, I gave a penalty. The defending team got uppity. Their skipper shouted "calm down, I'll ask the question in a civil manner". He did. I then explained what I'd seen (said pre match I would if asked properly). He looked at me and said "if that's what you saw then it's a penalty". He informed his players that the decision was correct and the penalty was duly scored.
O leave players in no uncertainty as to how I intend to handle the game and what will happen if they get verbally or physically abusive. Only ever handed out 2 red cards. One for the last defender chopping down the attacker and the other was for a "tackle" that would have seen the perpetrator get 6 months inside had the violence occurred on the street. Say what you'll do and then do as you said. Players don't have a leg to stand on. Love football but hate players' attitudes.

His pace is his main asset but his conversion ratio is poor. I'd definitely start the same team - even though I hate a three. I want to see football played and that rarely happens with Collins up front.

While I agree, the defence is that practically every team have done that to us this season- can imagine it can only happen so many times before you think 'if you can't beat them, join them'. In the Ipswich game the other week, we had to deal with it constantly from them, plus the referee disallowing a perfectly valid goal- if you've put up with that all season, I kinda get why you'd stoop to that level because it likely feels like you're the only ones not benefitting from doing it...
If that's ''one of the worst bits of cheating'' you've seen though, you need to watch more of the sport because it's not even close. Diving or deliberate attempts to deceive the referee to gain offensive advantages will always be worse offences by nature. However the time-wasting is not something I like to see in the sport, and did comment as much while watching last night.

Sorry but you don't speak for me here, I certainly didn't enjoy it.
As a football fan I pay to be entertained at matches, not watching time wasting and grown men rolling around pretending to be hurt.
Its really beginning to spoil my enjoyment of matches.
I know there's the argument of 'everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't we', that's how it started when foreigners introduced diving into our game too and look how bad that has got.
We've regularly called out players for cheating this season so it would be hypocritical not to do the same when its our players doing it.

Well this, I think was the first time we have changed it up at half time, and it reaped the rewards! Such a change from having it done to us!
Like BramcoteRam84 I was eased that we played football, and kept the long ball count down.

Both sides we steady in the first half, and I am convinced that Warne sent the wrong Derby County team out fir the second half because we started the half really well, on the front foot and at tempo.
It seemed so obvious that Hourihane would roll the ball to change the angle for Didzy’s shot, but it still caught Exeter out. And apart from the goals, I though Roberts was in with a shout for man of the match. He played really well, and constantly wormed his way past two or three men at a time, while overcoming their attempts at WWF, but MIM could only go to our cheat code!
And well done to the ref - you had a good game, so get ready for your P45 in the morning!
Night all, and safe journey to all you heroes who made the journey to support the lads! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I think it’s only fair to give the manager credit today because we were far better in the second half-until they scored. They looked far more up for it and deserved the win I thought. Someone else really needs to help DMcG out though on the goals front.
I was worried that the long coach journey back might affect us but have just heard that the EFL business plan dictates that we travel back by boat, so that’s that worry out of the way.

Well that was boring - the ref only made 2 or 3 gaffes, and none of them affected the result, although there was a reasonable  call for a penalty that he turned down.
