Looks a million times better than a few weeks ago....on paper anyway seems a half decent side

I was trying to rack my brains what we would do at RB. Hasn't Stearman played there before?
That front line though with McGoldrick on the bench to come on?

If we had a game tomorrow then maybe something like this to start?

We just seem thin in certain areas and I’m not entirely sure what academy players we have left to back them up.
Older players have came in to bulk up the squad, yet with that comes the risk of injury and longer recovery times.
I’ll be honest, League 1 is not a League which I have every spent a great time watching, its somewhat of a new experience and I just don’t know how well fair.
I find the whole winning the league discussion a little crass, even arrogant, yes we are a big club for League 1 yet there are others down there that have been around the block with us.
I’m still in the mindset where we’re just lucky to have a club and I’m not entirely sure we have any kind of long term vision, this is all very much a season of stability.

Allsop had a shaky start as well, Wildsmith has only had one pre season game a week after arriving, needs time

How longs a piece of string?
I just want to hopefully see a competitive team this season, where that takes us we'll see.
Can't even think about winning the league this season, it just doesn't feel right, not in July when it's a squad that's been 80% assembled in a summer.
Sign Collins, LB, RB and a backup keeper then replace any departures.
With that we can't really have any complaints at all.

Rest of the team then.  Mate, if you’re good at free kicks and aren’t repeating the same kick every time, no need for anyone else.  Idiakez took all ours.

Hourihane is literally a free kick specialist.
I hope we use the majority of our loan quota so a good 4 or 5 of those. Then maybe 3 or 4 permanents to boot.

I've voted. My Dad worked for BR at Derby for 32 years and two of me brothers did apprenticeships there. Its always been a Railway town/city.

I’ve voted. Means something to me personally as I started my working career at Derby Carriage Works on Litchurch Lane, my Grandad worked his whole life in the Railway. Crewe and to a lesser extent York I think have legitimate claims but Derby is the centre of most things rail, still a huge railway presence with many rail consultancies and train operators with offices on Pride Park, not to mention Derby Carriage Works and Etches Park depot still going strong under Alstom now, it makes sense for it to be Derby.

Derby has taken a step closer in its bid to become the new home of Great British Railways (GBR).
The city is one of six locations to be shortlisted from 42 expressions of interest across the UK. The chosen city will become the HQ for the new organisation which has been created to deliver a simpler, better railway for everyone in Britain. The other shortlisted cities are Birmingham, Crewe, Doncaster, Newcastle and York.
Bringing GBR to Derby would be extremely beneficial for the region and would help to level up the area, which is why we’ve badged our bid and campaign as the ‘East Midlands’ vote. The winning location will also see the move of highly skilled jobs and investment outside of London into our region.
Why we believe that Derby and the East Midlands is the perfect choice for GBR:
One of the first great British railway towns The only city to have manufactured rolling stock continuously since 1840 The East Midlands is the geographic and strategic heart of Britain’s railway Home to Europe’s largest cluster of private-sector rail businesses A centre of railway skills with over 11,000 highly-skilled rail employees based in the Derby area and 45,000 rail-related jobs across the East Midlands During the bidding process we reached out to Local Authorities across the East Midlands and received backing from Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Leicester and Leicestershire, alongside 21 MPs from across the region. We now need your help to spread the word and help Derby and the East Midlands become the new home for GBR.

Mate - please don't let this stress you out at all - you haven't caused trouble at all - we'll never all agree about a topic or the way people speak and the chat that came out if it is just about other people wanting to debate and nothing to do with what you said
You're always a valued ray of positive support for Derby on this forum as far as I'm concerned and I'd hate to see our bickering upsetting you
