Have never really understood the issue. Notts Forest don’t play in Nottingham.

Let’s hope this has been a gentle push by the admins because there is something genuinely credible brewing

Maybe that is the case, maybe not. But things can and should be reported in a certain way. Until 5pm yesterday Kirchner had exclusivity and I would imagine some legal rights if Quantuma were briefing Ashley / Appleby / Morgan / Joe Bloggs about making a bid. 5pm hits and they notify Ashley and whoever else that the process is back open.
The administrators not engaging with him until then was not news! Him having a strop about being second choice is not news, that is up to him to get over. The only issue is whether they chose the right bid in the first place and how stringent their process was to select that bid. Ashley having £28m ready to go is all well and good but is a crap deal for the creditors if he wants the stadium, as I assume he would. Maybe the administrators should have tried to negotiate further with him around that but he hardly seems the negotiating type.

Any doubt as to who Dorset’s source is, is now extinguished.
At this point I am not really fussed who buys us but I don’t think Ashley via Dorsett has helped matters over the last few days.

Oh god I should really know better than to engage you in something like this by now, but anyway.
I think these are not easy times for any Derby fan, and I think the hysteria being whipped up around it makes things even harder. It is not news that Quantuma were not willing to engage with Ashley when another bidder had exclusivity, and so Dorsett tweeting the same thing in about 50 different ways since Wednesday has only made things more panicked.
We can debate until the cows come home about whether or not Kirchner was the right bid, at this point it would appear clearly not. There are many grievances to be had about Quantuma but we can only assume they went with what they felt was the correct bid based on the info they had. He had evidently passed whatever tests he needed to pass.
But I don’t think any (and I include pro-Kirchner Nixon in that) journalists have helped things over the last week. And it is obvious who is pulling Dorsett and Dawes’ strings.

Equally his company’s name is now getting dragged through the mud as well, quite rightly if what is reported is true but if he wasn’t involved with Derby there’s no way it would be coming out. Maybe he just didn’t realise the media interest in it, no idea. Really bizarre though

I would assume legally Quantuma cannot just ignore Mike Ashley if he has made a credible bid.
Therefore you have to assume he has either not made a bid or if he has it is simply not credible.
