I'm loving the Rooney and Co have marginalised thebest manager we've had in the last 10 years because they know better which has resulted in us improving to dramtica.....oh....poo.

"Yet recent results and performances have been abysmal, with Rooney’s tactical set-up under scrutiny, and his ability to motivate and organise.
Rooney and his assistant coaches have allegedly marginalised former England manager Steve McClaren in recent weeks, decreasing his influence on team selection and tactical decisions.
McClaren is the club’s technical director and while Derby insist he is not on the coaching staff, he appears to have been sidelined at a crucial time."
Why you would marginalise the most experienced manager at the club, at a time like this, is absolutely crazy. I can only assume it is out of some dogged sense of pride, or perhaps ignorance, on Rooney's part. He did afterall get a bit spikey earlier in his tenure when asked what impact Steve McClaren was having on the team's upturn in fortunes.
The sooner we get rid of Cocu's Captain and this gang of coahces, a gang that not only got us in this mess in the first place but then managed to somehow wash their hands of all involvement in that mess, the better!

Obviously the players have to take some responsibility, but don't our failings have more to do with the fact those "two managers" have been two of the worst managers in Derby's history?

I am not, but the players don’t get sacked, the Manager does. The manager takes responsibility, it’s really not rocket science. Wazza is only still in the job due to finances and the takeover fiasco. Otherwise trigger happy Mel would have got rid by now...

No, you are totally missing the point that regardless, whatever the reasons are, the manager takes ultimate responsibility for the failings on the pitch....

The introduction of Bielik to the team increased the confidence of the rest of the team. We all saw that confidence drop the instant Bielik was injured.

I fundamentally disagree with all of this, I've read about the concept of self managed teams before but never actually had the luxury to work in a business that contains one.
You're advocating eliminating all forms of management in any organisation business sport or otherwise. People are given targets so the group effort is concentrated in the key business areas predominantly but also as a metric to assess whether a member of staff is performing to an acceptable level and action accordingly.
You can't just have a group of staff and say go on lads just do what you need to do without any direction, leadership, MOTIVATION and so on. It's ridiculous to even suggest that.
The key point here is why are the players not responding to Rooney's alleged direction if indeed he is giving them any.

Do we want a rookie, novice Manager who is obviously not up to a job of this size at this difficult time? If it’s not the Manager’s job to get the players motivated, clear on their roles and performing well on the pitch, what is the role of a football manager? What do you judge a Manager on?

Derbynil dressing room just before a must try harder match v Brum
Los of Giggling and joking around, and the players sit around with heads in hands.
WR: “ as we are playing world beaters today. I think erm, I’ll change the team and the erm tictacs. Any questions?”
mac raises his hand
WR: “ shut your face mac. I am a world class international and have scored more goals than any of you lot“. Over to you Leroy”
WR heads off to check his latest bank balance.
LR: “ As the gaffer says , I’m a championship specialist, don’t you know”
With the team talk over, the players head out on to the pitch.

Surely it's Rooney's job to get the players motivated to give 100%, who else is responsible for this???

As far as I'm concerned Sheffield Wednesday are our main threat at the moment. If we play like we did at Preston we won't be beating Brum or Swansea. The red dogs could then very well send us down if they decide to roll over and get their bellies tickled by Wednesday, which would leave our players needing to find some motivation from somewhere to actually give a crap about trying to beat Wednesday on the final day of the season.

That's the spirit Easy, you're making great progress.
When you hear the gumpen hoards of nottingham start grunting "You reds!" just take a moment, clam yourself with the thought "never a Red" and stand up proud as a reformed notts forest fan.
There is better life for you, once you take the sacred teaching "never a red" into your heart. You can be whatever you want to be. Support Notts County, Burton Albion, Mansfield Town, or one of the glamour teams in the midlands.

Could have stayed with us, but decided to risk it and go to Chelsea. I understand that it was his dream job, but looks like a risk that isn't panning out and frankly i'm not particularly interested in who manages any team other than Derby.

GenBr reacted to May Contain Nuts in Keogh
..except he wasn't sacked as a response to him taking part in the events of the night, the club's intentions were never to sack anyone but hand out a suitable punishment for the players' actions & the consequence of them. The club wanted to assist with the rehabilitation of all involved. It's Keogh's pigheadedness and lack of ability to take any personal responsibility for what happened to him that got him sacked.
The bolded part is simply nonsense.
If I rendered myself unable to work for 6 months through my own stupidity I wouldn't 'resign on the spot' I'd wait to see what the company said about it, but fully expect that the most likely outcome is that I'm going to be sacked. I wouldn't be entitled to full sick play because I'd broken the terms of my contract, I'd be facing the prospect of a sacking on my CV, to have ruined my chance of a reference for another job, damaged my reputation and to receive no pay until I found myself another job.
You talk about people being treated decently?
If my employer came back to me and offered me the chance to keep my job, pay for the medical bills to help me get back in working condition and actually pay me a salary throughout it I'd snap their bloody hands off - not act like I was entitled to more than they've offered me.
I'd feel like the luckiest man alive, I'd feel like I'd been treated very decently indeed.
..but then I'm not an arrogant, entitled rick who doesn't accept responsibility for his own actions.
