I’m happy for everyone, but particularly happy for the likes of Sibley, Cash and Bird. Stapenhill, Mansfield and Barton’s finest. You could tell it meant that much more to them, particularly Sibley, who grew up a Derby fan.
With them and Tommo, the academy lives on.

Not having Leeds away, goes against the point of the thread!
But WBA is a great shout. Genuinely one of the best performances I’ve ever seen us put in. Thought we were going to walk the league after that.

    Derby county 3 - 3 Sheffield Wednesday 8th May 2021.
It cannot be underestimated how important this result was. Kept us in the champ with the points deducted the following season. Can't imagine having -21 starting in league 1.

    Derby 3 - Yeovil 2 2014
2-0 down at half time and the concourses were so relaxed about it. We just all seemed to know we would come back to win. I'd never been more convinced of a promotion in my life. Bloody Zamora.
All of the 1884 Group display games too. Incredible feeling to see the visual impact of what we did. I imagine the people behind Popside Fanatics experienced the same feeling on Saturday. They're doing a brilliant job.

    Derby 5-0 Hull, 2017.
A stuttering start to the season, then we blew Hull away, including a first goal for Curtis Davies against his former club.

That run of games under Clough when we had Bueno, Commons and Kuqi linking up before he s*** the bed and went defensive.

We all know the legendary Derby games that will never be forgotten. Real Madrid, Deforestation, Leeds in the Play Offs, etc.
But what are some of your favourite games that don't get talked about or remembered enough?
For me, beating United at Old Trafford in the cup under Lampard was unbelievable and doesn't get spoken about enough.

Me too. I recall we were an inch away from taking it to penalties.
That season was really, really fun. As was the whole Championship that year. Some iconic teams, managers, players and moments involved in the promotion battle.

I genuinely look back on that day really fondly. Was only 17 with the face of a 10 year old, but managed to get beers in the pub all day.
That was when I really started going on away days and the drunken match report era began🤣

24th September 1997, Sheffield Wednesday 2 - 5 Derby County. A few days after my birthday, I finished school for the day and when my dad got home from work he asked out of the blue (and out of character to be so impulsive) if I wanted to go watch Derby that night, I of course said yes. So we picked up a mate of mine along the way and drove to Sheffield, watched some Italian magic from both sides with Di Canio and Carbone trying their hardest (and failing) to upstage Eranio and Baiano (scored 2). Wanchope (who I loved) and Burton combined for a goal a piece….can’t remember who got the other but it was a pretty special night under the Hillsborough lights wearing that sexy orange and blue Puma number 😮‍💨

Friday night, day before my 20th birthday
A pub had gotten a buffet ready for our coach but a lorry had shed its load on the M1 so we never made it and they slammed the phone when we let them know 😂
Mad the rubbish you remember because of football

We’d get absolutely rinsed for doing this.
I personally think it should be reserved for winning the league or a cup. Saturday was fun enough.

This one hurts. Tried so hard to get my mates to go but none of them fancied it. Needless to say they received an angry message when the winner went in.

October 21 1961.  Derby 2 Liverpool 0.   Mick Hopkinson from 60 yards !! (well it seemed like it from the 'boys' enclosure !!) and Bill Curry. 27000+ at the BBG. Ron Yeats putting Bill Curry into the railings in frustration.
September 24th 1966.  Derby 4 Huddersfield 3  Kevin Hectors home debut. Boy was that some debut !! Despite having 4 opposition trying to mark him he still managed to score and created the space for Durban to score 3. Little did we know then what the next 10 years would hold !!
November 1st 1969.  Derby 4 Liverpool 0. Can still see Hector and O'Hare bearing down on Lawrence in goal at the Ossie End for the fourth goal. 40993 at the BBG.
January 23rd 1971.  Derby 2 Wolves 1.  FA Cup 4th round. 40000+ at the BBG. 6" of mud and John O'Hare chesting in, in the 90th minute !!
Need I go on. Oh those memories.
