Ken Tram reacted to RoyMac5 in The Administration Thread
It was from a Nixon quote on Sunday I think.

Ken Tram reacted to PistoldPete in The Administration Thread
It was in thread about Derby being liquidated but returning in league 2 based on Nixon tweet. Which could be garbage.

Was a vague Nixon comment if I recall. Let’s not get on to debating his tweets for another evening ??

Ken Tram reacted to RoyMac5 in If liquidated, Derby will no longer be a founder member of the EFL
There's a very interesting description of the process they went through on here:
https://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/leeds-utd-creditors-were-satisfied-not-a-liquidators-charter/
"This is not a Liquidator’s Charter. Provisions in football only exist to transfer a League share from one company to another if creditors are satisfied, either by being paid in full or, as with Leeds United, with 75% agreeing to accept a diminished amount."
Also here:
https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/latest-leeds-united-news/liquidators-finally-draw-line-under-leeds-uniteds-2007-administration-less-ps750000-paid-unsecured-creditors-484360
"Liquidators appointed after Leeds United entered administration almost 12 years ago have finally dissolved the original company which owned the club - with less than £750,000 paid to unsecured creditors."

It would not be an insiginificant concession, that even in the event of us being liquidated we stay in the EFL. Bury (the Company) have not even been liquidated and yet they were banished into the darkness. Maybe EFL is recognising (or being forced to recognise) they haven't exactly been blameless themsleves.

I wouldn’t be against joining league two if that was the doomsday scenario.

No thats not true Roy. The club is a separate entity from the Company that owns it. Wigan were liquidated last year, still playing in the EFL in fact no further punishment apart from the 12 point deduction which as it happened did relegate them to League One.
And it's still the same club. The same badge, the same history , the same ground , the same fans.
Leeds United were liquidated too. Same thing.
It will be sad to see the old Company go but to be honest it may be that that is what Q were planning anyway, liquidating the old Company and transferring the club to a new one.
That is not a phoenix club. It's a phoenix Company.

Ken Tram reacted to duncanjwitham in -15 points on exiting administration??
From what I've seen, he also seems to be arguing that preferred creditors (including HMRC) need to be paid 100% to avoid the 15 point penalty, but I can't find any rules anywhere to back that up.

Ken Tram reacted to ram59 in Season 21 - 22 survival bid statistics
I still think we're behind those atm, using your handicap system, Cardiff, Hull and Reading should get an extra point with their game in hand and Reading a further 2 points because of their deduction. But it is very close and we're only 1 point behind our safety schedule as it stands. Factor in current form stats, it looks quite encouraging.

Grabban, pushes his foot through with force and studs up. You can see him readjust at the last second, not the action of someone pulling out of challenge...

Ken Tram reacted to Bald Eagle's Barmy Army in Fund the Flag
Just an idea but why don't the guys sorting the flag out get another one now that they've got enough donations to do so.
I think we need one that says 'We're Derby County, We Fight To The End' - this could also be used each matchday when we do get out of this mess and a reminder to the fans and players that we never give up.
Just a thought.

According to the forum rules, strictly speaking, it may not be allowed, if it's offensive, etc.
And sometimes I wonder if hatred of football rivals is a good idea! And if it promotes wider hatred! It's just that I've grown up with it! It's normal within football. Today, the Forest chanted, "Stand up, if you hate Derby." And we bounce to say similar about Forest.
Maybe it's good that football allows us to vent our frustrations at another club, rather than at people of particular skin colour, and so on.

Ken Tram reacted to TigerTedd in Fund the Flag
Wow. I did some quick maths and at that rate (£800 in 12 mins) it would only take us 52 days to raise the £5mil we need.

But just my tuppence worth, I think everyone in the city appreciates the support of all those from the outlying towns and villages, they’re as loyal, if not more so, as us in the suburbs.
Derbyshire la la la Derbyshire la la la

I'm from South Derbyshire, the only times I have been to Derby in the past 20 years is for the football!

I recall standing on the popside before kickoff as the various parts of the county piped up to let us know they were there. Heanor! followed by everyone else shouting Sharples! always springs to mind. When the round up was done everyone chanted Derbyshire! Derbyshire! Derbyshire!

I agree 68Guns.
It’s was a great idea but I’m amazed it got through the scrutiny of the planning stage.
Maybe it happened too quickly and folk were caught up in the moment.

If it helps you to see it another way ...
Although you refer to genocide and slavery, I do not think that the reason for avoiding racism is as a way to say sorry for slavery. We avoid racism because it is wrong.
So, if you think it is wrong to label someone by their ethnic and facial features if their ancestors have suffered some horrific historical wrong, then it is also wrong to refer to anyone else's facial features.
At worst, you sound racist - at best, that you did not realise that ginger hair is linked to ethnicity - but I doubt that you intended to cause anyone any offence.
PS. Many of us might say, "Ginger" this or that when we're emotional. But if someone points out that it sounds racist, then it might be better to just apologise than double down with sarcasm.
