The Daily Update thread is very helpful!

That's all very well but some of us have to trawl through the heavy traffic threads to get the stuff to put in the update thread. 
Or even worse, brave Twitter to search it out! 

I like to think I'm a very positive person..always have been much to my wife's annoyance at times..lol..
It's easy to get caught up in the minute by minute ups and downs of news no news and most often fake news..
I try to ignore the clickbait site nonsense..they basically know nothing at all and can just wind people up..don't forget Twitter is often just a bubble..the majority of information is often false or at best exaggerated..too many people feel the need to be important with their supposed ITK comments ..again often utter BS..They feed off people's desire to have to know everything now.
I'm still very hopeful our club will survive, I'm very sure we are staying up as long as we don't lose more players, that helps ease my mind.
I ignored all news for 2 days this week..because in that way I wouldn't know if they had forced the sales of Lawrence and Festy..it has worked so far.
And if it all gets too much I treat myself to a couple of days off and go off piste snowboarding..for me that is my ultimate relaxation..

I’ll echo the above @RadioactiveWaste More than happy to receive a DM if someone is struggling. In total confidence no matter night or day (I’m constantly on here refreshing at the minute?? for news that never comes). 

Apart from my significant other's repeated plees for me to "just stop doomscrolling" and "it's not helping" and "you're being a right arse" (all true, I have been a right arse lately).
I'd suggest getting regular exercise, being kind to people, remembering that as much as this hurts, we will get through this.
I also have a dog and my furry friend never fails to take my mind off the situation (whether it's being adorable or because he's doing my nut in...)
And just to say, I'll happily take DM off anyone.

In the week leading up to Christmas, I was admitted to A and E with sepsis and water retention, spent 5 days there, and then had to put up with a very unpleasant catheter for 5 weeks before having it removed earlier this week. 
 
So, my mood has been swinging around a bit more than usual. I’ve imagined how I might fit a catheter into various people connected with Middlesbrough and Wycombe. That eases the tension for a while?
I can’t expect anyone else to appreciate that line of thinking but I’m sure they will have their own release.
if there’s any justice in the world, we will survive this nightmare. Stay strong everyone and keep up the pressure!!

No, I want to leave it there. Genuine question- do you feel better when you self-deprecate? (Sorry, that sounds like innuendo.) 
I want to know what works for people.
Having worked in mental health services for decades, I am quite sensitive about things like this, perhaps overly so.

Well, we have another month of uncertainty and speculation ahead of us.
I don't mind admitting this morning's lack of news has hit me hard.
We need to try and look after ourselves - and each other - over  these next few weeks. 
I feel better when I am watching games. Luckily, there are plenty of Derby games during February to keep us going. 
What will you do to try and keep positive? 

Spot on re Rooney. What a bloke. Regardless of outcome he’s gone up massively in my opinion of him. A Ram. 

If that doesn’t make you believe we can stay up, nothing will.

"I've just come off the phone with them (administrators) five mins ago. Where we are at, there is no big update I can give you.
There will be no players leaving.
They have reassured me Tom Lawrence will not be going and that is pleasing because he is a player I want to keep.
Everton approached my agent and asked me to interview for the vacant job which I turned down. I have a job here I am doing, which is an important job to me and that means me getting the team ready for Sunday."
 

The bigger picture of ‘positives’ I think, is that the EFL/administrators are on a better wavelength with that joint statement yesterday
Reading between the lines, without listening to what the MPs have said today, I think everyone is beginning to realise the problem and solution is probably closer to home than the Wycombe/Boro scenario. It’ll be interesting to see what comes out of the 2.30 meeting I think.

Wayne Rooney, every time you think he cannot go up any higher in our estimations he goes and absolutely smashes it. I’ve said it so many times but there is genuinely no one else I’d rather have at the club. The man oozes class and commitment. 
 
What a bloke. I bloody love him. 

At least he thinks we’re worth fighting for.

I was incredibly critical of appointing Rooney after last season. But he's been a pillar and a credit to the club throughout.
Get him a statue, even if we do go down.
