A good point , hard earned , thought we stood up to a big physical Huddersfield side quite well , Fozzy my Rams man of the match , well done to Wayne and the lads for a battling , spirited performance , many battles ahead , but it was great to be back COYR

If I see him again I will B4 , I'm situated in the middle of a row and there is elderly people and kids on the row so it's not the easiest to get out and tell someone to be honest , if he turns up again I'll be telling them before the match has even started.

That was as good as we can expect for now. Lacking quality but not lacking effort and determination, which is something we've lacked for a while. I hope Rooney has instilled an "us against the world" mentality into the players and we continue like this. A couple more additions (god knows how that will happen) and the great escape could be on. Hey ho .. a win would have been great but a draw was a fair result. They were a big side, not shy in the tackle and shirt pulling department.
Fantastic to be back .. great atmosphere
As others have said Joz was ok today but not as dangerous as you would like to think. Not his best game.
I thought Fozzy had a great game, won lots in the air and some tidy head ons and line balls in the right place. He is an intelligent footballer, past his prime, but there’s some real quality there. Winced in the second half when he went down .. but all ok thank goodness.
Kaz.. Bulwark. He is so tough ! .. needs runners closer
Midfield do ok but we lie too deep. Bird is a good player but he’s better further up. He’s more creative than he’s given credit for but can’t show it where he is on the pitch.
Watson .. continued to look like a cracking prospect. Hungry, aggressive, quick .. booking he got was harsh. I want to see replays because I’d bet that was a penno
Curtis and Stearman .. both did damned well considering the press, but they did look stretched when Hudds played the channels
Byrne Lawrence Shinnie all worked and competed hard
Festy and Sibbo added some much needed Zip, muscle and threat.
Shout out for Roos .. some great saves, dealt with their high press well and that save with his right foot was instinctive skill and top drawer.

Ref and east stand Lino get 4/10 .. some very poor decisions and unbalanced card issuing relative to offences. Some blatant shirt pulling .. pushing to get a corner and a 50/50 against Watson that didn’t just go against him (ok)  it got him a card. (Not ok )

Ah, I see where you're coming from.
But I do agree with @kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong that we are much more aware of how to do something about it these days.
Be warned (not you!) Anybody near me at a football match this season who starts with any racist, homophobic or other crap WILL get reported.

I don't think that's true to be honest Jimbo, there always have been and always will be racists and unpleasant people and their presence gets more unacceptable to society as every day goes by,I don't believe it's in any way legitimised by today's society, certainly not in the uk in any case.

I think they were at a different game to me. A draw was a fair result. Both teams could have won it near the end. No mention of the penalty incident in the report? Or Lawrence being clear through? I wonder why.
And ‘COVID ravaged’? They had 4 players out! Not exactly ravaged is it - we had as many players out injured but I suppose that didn’t fit the pre-conceived narrative.
As for the match, I really enjoyed it. We aren’t very good but we battled and that is all you can ask. It is going to be a tough season but if we can get behind them like today we might just be able to stay up. Forsyth was magnificent today and Curtis’ interview after the game just as much so.
Nice touch by the EFL in stepping in to supply the ref instead of the FA as well. Much appreciated - I love a crap ref, nothing gets us going more!

I actually thought the players did brilliantly today. They competed with a Championship side, which with all the off field stuff, was pretty impressive.
Forsyth was clearly man of the match. Roos and Kazim both performed well. Lawrence worked hard and was trying to drive the team on - maybe that armband wasn't quite such a stupid idea.
Jozwiak's decision making is still poor in a Derby shirt and Bird was anonymous. Overall though, it was a decent performance. Which is made far more impressive by the context.
Great to be back at PP though. Actually slightly surprised to see Mel there.
And only realised today that I'm going to be on holiday for the Forest game...duh!

Yep, you’re right. He fought quite hard, didn’t get a lot of ball, not much bounced for him. I’d like to think it was one of those games that all players have … just “ok” It gets an over reaction because we know he can run and skin his full back and always Hope for a special moment.

Regardless of anything I think we play Bird too deep. Rooney played deep with him in a 2 (which I think makes us too careful)  he undoubtedly coached him, and brought up a notch in all round play but he isn’t a natural DM

I just can’t agree about Joz. He isn’t great in the air but he’s a gutsy fighter with the ball at his feet. Compared to Festy it’s horses for courses. Love festies  strength and athleticism. Depends on the opponents  I like both of them for different reasons

I agree, well on the less support. Not sure it makes us harder to beat. But I'd rather we shoe-horned the squad into 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. I think 4-2-3-1 leaves us at risk of being over run in midfield too.
Edit: although I thought Carroll made a really good go of being in the two. Shinnie has qualities but him and Bird don't go well together.

Easy to suggest it's risk averse but we had two very good chances (Watson and Lawrence) and a goal in the first half, plus two CBs who had only just been introduced.
