Geographically we are a good fit for Rooney (Close to Cheshire). Potentially we are a big club in the division and potentially we wouldn't necessarily be minnows in the PL.  However, beyond all that I'm convinced Wayne knows something of the potential takeover that is making him stick around.
He knows Mel is going, he knows the financial limitations, he knows the limited quality of his players and yet despite the opportunities his global name will bring him he wants to put up with all this at DCFC. Cant see this as just his personal pride, as said I think he knows more than he's letting on.

Spot on - I've got so much time for Wayne Rooney, he's such a strong bloke. Who knows if he'll make a good manager but if he doesn't it won't be for the lack of hard work or determination. The blokes makes mistakes, dusts himself down and carries on. I admire that immensely.

I just think he's not a quitter. This experience is pretty good for the future. He'll learn quickly from the mistakes he makes and will be all the better for it. He's a tough guy and resilient which are probably which are probably the 2 most useful characteristics for working in football.

We seem to have a very good idea of what was said in the meeting. Whether we make signings is the pressing issue.
Mel is trying to sort various issues with EFL that nobody has full knowledge of as yet.
Mel is trying to coax a buyer to buy the Club. 
Wayne is trying to sign 8 or 9 players 
We play HTFC tomorrow.
That is about it.

Here is a different option - the EFL could raise the bar on what an established player is from one appearance to three which may actually please a few other clubs as well whilst being a bit more realistic on what an established player is.

Personally, I am not bothered whether we get a report from anyone. I have got to the point where I am just waiting until signings are made and a takeover happen. This could take days, weeks or months for the first item and years for the second item. Too many variables to speculate as far as I am concerned. COYR
