He'll be 33 for all but 1 month of the 2025/26 season. I don't know how it can been seen that 2 more years is too long for NML. To only offer him another 12 months could be interpreted as disrespectful considering how he's performed this season (and most of last season). If I was him and Derby had only offered another 12 months I'd have turned it down flat and accepted the biggest wage offer on a 12 month deal from a Champrionship club instead.

Hard to say though, Jamie Vardy was still playing non league at the exact same age.

It's definitely the tension that unsettles them. My 12 year old Staffy is normally zonked out asleep in the evenings (and the days to be honest!) yet if I'm watching Derby she doesn't properly settle all night. When we score I think she wonders what's wrong with me 😂

What would his pressing be like when we lose possession? We can't afford passengers with the way we want to play. I'd be perfectly happy to sign him as an option, but I'm not sure he'd be the regular starter. That said, I highly doubt Posh would sell him to a main promotion rival anyway.

Fornah was all over the place when he came on last game, didn't know whether to stay central or help Fozzy out with their 2v1's. At this moment in time, Thompson is a far better player.

They're supposed to be interested in Steve Cooper.

There's no guarantee that he would have developed the way he has if he'd have stayed at Derby.

Has to be Nelson for me, with NML & Cashin both worthy candidates too. Consistently good performances from Nyambe & Forsyth too, both quietly efficient.
