One of there CM’s is 16 years old. Surly we won’t get battered in there like we usually do today. Won’t be Hourihanes fault if we do however if he’s not playing so will have to look elsewhere. Should be comfortable today.

    16? Bloody hell.

  2. 5 at the back, at home, after 2 defeats? Surely Paul isn't going with the "just try to not lose" mentality, it's that exact mentality that has cost us dearly 2 games on the trot.

The man is absolutely clueless and will cost us promotion this season and its becoming bloody infuriating. Please for the love of God David, Clowes or the fella on here, send Warne packing.

Apart from that, Come On You Rams!

Well you'll probably just take the Michael, but anyway.... Agree on Nelson, great signing, also love Wilson and Adams, they bring a bit of energy and excitement. There have been enjoyable games, Oxford away being a noticeable example, what a great night that was and I think everyone who was there would agree. We are still second! We have a great chance of being promoted. Positivity for me also extends to the whole feeling of a match day, spending time with family, and the people you sit with who have become friends, but I guess I'm probably not allowed to count that!

No mickey taking here.  Good points well made.

What's wrong with being positive for the sake of it? I freely admit to being that kind of person, but preferring to pick something positive out of a game doesn't mean I'm defending the stuff you think is poor. I just prefer not to dwell on the negative, there's plenty of that on here already! And you guess wrong, I'm at every home game and plenty of the  away ones

Nothing wrong with being positive at all.

    Here's your chance.

Could you list the positives under the current manager? A genuine question. I'll start, he signed a good lad in Nelson and I rate him.

Whereas the constant jibes are an absolute breath of fresh air!  🙄

Perhaps some folk are built differently to others?  Whilst some seem to thrive on negative rants, others may wish to ignore them... or dare I say, even counteract them with positivity.

There are two sides to this fence, and for the most part, each side see the other as tiresome.

Well let's all agree to disagree and make love.

Whilst I can’t stand his style of football it was right to give him the season although his absolute scatter gun approach to signing players concerned me greatly. Yes in terms of the opposition this year certainly looked like the easiest/poorest league imaginable but remember he has 3 promotions from this league so it must have been just as poor on a least 3 occasions before.

    Good points well made.

Likewise some people are just being negative for negatives sake

For negative sake? We have just lost 2 on the bounce, one against a team that hadn't won in 22 games. Both games we put in poor performances and that has been a theme all season.

I admit I've been more negative about Paul Warne than others, but that's purely because I saw concerns earlier on and unfortunately they were concerning enough for me to think he wasn't right for us. How I long for him to Ram that down my throat and prove me wrong.

With the lack of rationality in the face of defeat on this thread, it makes me wonder how some people function in their day to day lives.

It's based on what has been served up all season, not a knee jerk reaction. I'm finding this constant defending of what is poor football, poor tactics, poor recruitment, poor game management quite tiresome to be honest. It's like some people are being positive for positives sake. I'm guessing these people don't attend the games or don't even watch them? They just look at the league table and think 'ooo that looks nice'.

I'm there every home game (never boo and never will), but I see what is being served up and it is tripe.

Even his bobble hat is crap now.

  9. Should have thanked him for his services at the end of last seasons catastrophic collapse.

I honestly think failure to get promotion this year would be catastrophic for this club in so many ways. Look how easy this division is and we are still arsing it up. Imagine if we have clubs like QPR, Huddersfield, Notts County, Wrexham...that's without Reading and Wigan potentially being more stable.

Because it was his first start since November?

Because it was also his first start since November?

I know 1 player was very unsettled at the start of the season.

I get the impression Warne has his favourites. Anyone else is dropped quickly when one of his favourites is available again, despite how they may have been performing. I think it would be reasonable to understand a player being upset if they felt they were wrongfully dropped or not given a fair chance.

We have Ward amd Fornah who are seemingly being frozen out of the squad. Thompson impressed in pre-season but was reluctantly put into midfield at the start of the season "because there wasn't anyone else", and appears to be back in the same situation now. Sibley still needs to make an impact in back to back games to stay in the team, and now isn't even fancied at LB over a CB. Barkhuizen likewise- only 1 start all month, despite scoring 4 and assisting 3 in 8 ganes when given a consistent run of starts in December and January.

To be honest the player in question was a key first team player until recently.

  11. I know of 1 first team player who was, allegedly, far from complementary about Warne when out drinking with someone I know recently.

Assuming that's true, it shows that some of the players must think similar things too.
