  1. Came on for about 5 minutes last night in the 3-0 win over Southampton. I have to say, Liverpool have some cracking youngsters on their books and they are not all poached from elsewhere. Kaide has a fight on his hands to get in amongst them.
  2. I'm not eligible, as I am a Board member at RamsTrust, who will be putting forward their own candidate as one of the three supporters' group places. Thank you for the thought, though.
  3. Neither of those statements are true, though. We were after the young Blackburn striker and/or two Premier League youngsters. We had made an initial enquiry about Smith but he was a ridiculous price so we moved on quickly. Gregory was offered to us, not the other way round.
  4. I'd do away with parachute payments altogether!
  5. I think there are several posters on this Message Board who could do a really good job on there. I hope you're considering applying.
  6. When I was sat down at the front of the stand in October/November we had a decent run of results against lower teams, playing a 4-2-3-1. I recall Fozzy and NML playing really well at that time, probably encouraged by my very loud vocal support for said players (I could almost reach out and touch them!) 😂 Now I'm back up in the lofty atmosphere of the West Stand Upper we need someone else to make that racket. It obviously worked! 😉 Or perhaps PW just needs to play a more positive formation? 😄 Incidentally, the game we won 4-0 against Northampton Conor Washington led the line, with Barks and NML either side and Bird in that advanced role. I see no reason why Gayle can't do what Washington did that day.
  7. Read this. In exchange for the cash, the EPL want to limit spending of EFL Clubs.
  8. We have bought tickets on the side for a change. Anyone ever been there? I don't think it was open last time we were there.
  9. Could our Curtis be the young up and coming coach we might need in the future? (Well, now, really!)
  10. Has taken over from Curtis Davies as the player who puts himself on the line game after game, and has Derby County in his heart.
  11. It's tricky, isn't it? Maybe pay him back monthly? This is when we need B4 to come up with a solution. He'd probably tell you to do it instead of insuring your car!
  12. Tom back in the Rangers team and scored their winner last night, as well as winning the free kick that led to their equaliser. Making up for lost time.
  13. It's a tough call, but I think your dad would want you to be there. Might he help you out with the cost?

  15. Well, we did have a ball juggler at half time to entertain us. Trapped the ball better than most of our players!
  16. This is my biggest bugbear about Warne's management. He can't resist the urge to tinker every game. Pick a settled formation - and play it. Pick a settled team and subject to injuries, play it. When you need to, substitute like for like. And don't just take off your midfield and throw all your forwards on when you're chasing a win. The players look lost at times. Sometimes they are playing two or three formations/positions in the same game. Their instinct and trust for linking play are completely nullified in that situation.
  17. Last night? Wing back, winger, centre-forward. Three positions in under 45 minutes' football. There's no wonder the players don't know what they're doing.
  18. So does Mendez-Laing. But not when they are being played out of position, they don't.
  19. Rams 1 - 1 Charlton Mendez-Laing
  20. I've always thought Riverside should be shut after the final whistle anyway. We go to grounds all around the country where roads are closed for a significant amount of time post-game, but the roads around Pride Park stay stubbornly open.
  21. He knew he'd got sucked over to the right, and wouldn't get back.
  22. We lost that amount last season - our first since coming out of administration. What we don't know yet is whether that was due to some exceptional one-off payments, or whether this will be a pattern. Detailed DCFC accounts for this first year due to be published sometime in March.
  23. We had three midfielders who had all been sucked across to the right of our goal, leaving a big gap in front of the defence. At least one should have held his position. Given that he played to the left all game, I'd say that should have been Hourihane.
