  1. We went to the last one so sitting back and hoping some different people get to go. There's usually a video after the event, for those that can't attend.
  2. Or hate him? Martin has always been like Marmite to Derby fans! (I love him, btw.)
  3. Yes, he was. Quality player, just whether we can adapt our play to create chances for him. I was pleased to see him tearing a strip off NML for not passing to him. Love our Nate, but he needs the odd reminder!
  4. You're probably okay as not a Derby address.
  5. Yes, I know now as several people have told me above. I don't know when it changed.
  6. I'm not disputing it on this occasion, just explaining why some of the picks seem a bit random to those of us at the games.
  7. Thanks. I agree from occasions when I've been there.
  8. And that's a brilliant asset for a wing back to have! Re MOTM, don't one of the sponsors pick it? I don't think there's a lot of thought goes into it. Half of them don't even go out to watch the game! 🤷‍♀️
  9. The Ward v Nyambe debate is a bit superfluous while Nyambe is injured, but for me it's about Warne making the right choices. In games where we need to be on the offensive then Ward is perfect. Backs against the wall, I'd want Nyambe there every time.
  10. And he has worked hard. Watched him play for under 21s recently and he put a real shift in. Man amongst boys - literally. Fornah, on the other hand, who was also playing, didn't look interested.
  11. You may have been following the discussion on the season ticket thread. Now that Daniel's seat is secured for his sister, can we fundraise instead for a flag for B4 as a permanent memorial and reminder of his presence at the stadium. Maybe @David could help with the fundraising and we could ask Simon Penney to help with the flag, or someone else if anyone knows anybody? What do people think?
  12. Happy birthday for Wednesday! 🎂💐

    Archie Brown

This. I remember it well. Archie was really a wing back, at a time we played a flat back four. He was one of my favourites from that under 18 team, so followed his career since. It's fair to say he had to work really hard at FC Lausanne - must have been hard for a young lad in a new country - and I wondered how he'd get on at Gent but he's fitted them like a glove. I'm so pleased for him.
  14. Was it your birthday today? I saw your name at halftime and heard your mention as B4's sister. It was lovely. How about if we fundraise for a flag with a B4 inscription instead? There are quite a few new ones in NE corner and a permanent reminder to "Be more B4" or something similar would be a fitting memorial.
  15. Wingbacks 2 - 1 Port Vale FRGS Nelson
  16. There won't be a supporter on the DCFC Board, there will be an independent supporters' board, who will meet regularly with the DCFC Board to ask such questions. I think a lot of people misunderstand this, so happy to clarify. The Supporters' Groups, as part of the Supporters Charter Group, meet mainly with staff, although I understand David Clowes often attends those meetings as well. Once the Independent Regulator is in place, this Supporters' Board will have an independent route to the regulator if there is a major concern.
  17. Stephen Pearce is not on the Board. Richard Tavernor is the second Board member alongside David Clowes. I agree that the Board needs to be strengthened and we asked about this at the last SCG. We are told this is ongoing and the Club want to get it right, which is why it is taking time. Ironically, one of the things the Supporters' Board will be well-placed to ask about is exactly this.
  18. Anybody up Manchester way - you need to pre-book tickets for tonight.
  19. Really more about this season's kit, but what exactly is FanHub, please? They are sponsoring our training kit this season and next, but when I read about them on our website, I have no idea what they do.
  20. Yes, it's less about who is on it, more about a split in what is discussed. The focus of SCG will continue to be on matchday issues, Pride Park, ticketing, heritage etc. The SB will be about governance, strategy and core values, finance, and those issues identified in the Government White Paper, such as club colours, ground sale/ location club crest etc. There is more likely to be information that can't be shared immediately at SB than at SCG, due to commercial confidentiality. BUT, the Club wishes to share everything with time-lapse. Having fulfilled a similar role for many years in a health setting, I'd say it is the less glamorous role of the two, it's more of a watching brief, critical friend type role. Hopefully it could meet for years but never have anything of concern that it needs to act on. Whereas SCG will be about immediate issues of relevance to the day to day support. Just to clarify, there will be both individuals and organised groups on both SB and SCG, just as there are now on SCG. I think it's a good question on gauging views, as it also is for the current SCG. That's much easier for groups with a defined membership than it is for individuals. I would like to think that will be an early topic for discussion when it is set up. I am no expert on this stuff, btw, but I have read the documents drawn up by the SCG members who have worked on this. They are linked on the advert, and are definitely worth a read.
  21. Totally understand where you're coming from, David. It's sad that the people most reluctant to take on these roles are often the ones who'd do them very well.
