What could be in our favour, we play Tuesday against Preston and if we win it puts more pressure on Rotherham to get 3 pts against M'Boro on the Wednesday. The big problem is, if we lose at Preston, Rotherham will be up for it. Still a big ask for Rotherham to play 6 more matches in 19 days especially with 2 matches against teams in the play off mix. Another stat on Rotherham, the current top half of the table (top 12) Rotherham have only beaten 2 teams, a 3-0 win over M'Boro and their recent 3-1 win against QPR. Out of their 6 remaining fixtures they have 4 teams to play from the top half of the table. On the worrying side, their last 3 matches Blackburn, Luton and Cardiff will have nothing to play for. So I hope by then they are down and we are not at a disadvantage.

Im sure last week Cov fans thought they couldnt see a win coming and they have won 2 in a row. Im sure Huddersfield fans thought the same and they beat Forest away.
I know a lot of fans think that they cant see us winning but that doesnt mean we cant or wont. We have played pretty well in all 4 games since the international break and have deserved more than 3pts from them. Carry on playing like we have then a win will come, we just need to tighten up defensively. All the talk is us not scoring enough goals but we have scored 4 in 4 but only kept 1 clean sheet, dont concede = dont lose. Covs last 2 wins both 1-0, Hudd whose defence has looked awful recently won 2-0 this weekend. Birmingham have kept 4 clean sheets in a row.

Having watched the Rotherham v Coventry game live on sky sports tonight, I'm covinced that Rotherham deserve to go down. Their Thug Football and not being able to string more than 3 passes together does not deserve to be in the 2nd teir of English football. Well to be honest they did put 6 passes together in the 77th minute on just the one occasion. But their pushing of Coventry players off the ball and fouls that the poor Ref did not give to Coventry was terrible. Not a shot on target and a keeper who saved them at least 3 times could have given them a worse goal diff than the Rams. I feel with their remaining fixtures, if they don't win on Sunday against Birmingham they are sunk (regardless of their 2 games in hand).
Can I remind the Rams fans who still feel that Rotherham can escape, the stats dont lie. They have lost 22 games (only Wycombe have lost more) and they have done that in 39 matches compared with most of the rest who have played 41 games. Yes, they have scored 41 goals, thats better than 6 teams above them, but conceding 53 goals is only worse by than 3 teams above them in the table. A small squad with 7 games to play in 21 days is a tall order and with 2 teams to play in the top 6 in their remaing fixiures does'nt bode well. And just to remind you, Rotherham have only won ONCE over the current top 10 teams and in their remaining games, they have 4 fixtures against top 10 teams.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. We can’t expect every result to go our way every round of games. First and foremost, it’s still in our hands. As long as that’s the case, then we just need to concentrate on ourselves. If that becomes not the case, then I’ll worry about what everyone else is up to.
we’re in a concerning position, no doubt, but it’s not over til the fat lady sings. Some on this thread have already heard her, apparently. But I’m pretty sure it was just the kettle whistling.

So Rotherham win tonight against a middle table team with nothing to play for and some fans on here start putting the nails in the coffin for the Rams. Others coming out with statements like "we need other teams to help us out" . At the end of the season every team will have played 46 games, positions will state how bad, mediorce or good your team was. I don't want any one quoting that Sheff Wed had a 6 pt deduction, because currently if they had their 6 points back they would still be in the bottom 3 on their current form that will probably be the case. Officially at this stage, no team is relegated, but few will argue that it looks very differcult for Wycombe & Sheff Wed. 3 teams go down and Rotherham, Coventry, Derby, Huddersfield and Birmingham are all still in the mix. If we get mores points than 3 teams or more, thats down to our performance over 46 matches and not us relying on other results.
Some facts for the ones worrying about Rotherham, They play Coventry on Thursday, if they avoid defeat it will be only the 2nd time this season they have gone 3 matches on the bounce without losing. Starting with Thursday they have 8 matches to play in 23 days. In them 8 games they have 2 teams fighting for survival, possible 3 if Blackburn continue their bad form. They also have Barnsley and Brentford in play off places to play. I still predict Wycombe, Sheff Wed and Rotherham to go down, if its going to be another team, please think of Coventry, Birmingham and Huddersfield are still involved and not just Derby.

Nails in the coffin is my wording, look back through on this blog and some fans do think we are going to get relegated (which means they have defeatist thought and think we dead (or Relegated).

Quick reminder that Rotherham have a game every three days for about 2 weeks now. Their next game is on Thursday night.
It’s not a deep squad, they’ll pick up injuries and get fatigued. Not saying they’re guaranteed to go down but they’re still in a really tough position. Next two games are it for them, Cov and Birmingham, two six pointers that we’re not involved in.
We’ve noticeably improved since the break but not found the net enough. Norwich and Reading both played well, I think our form will translate into points over the next few games and will see us to the 50 point mark. I don’t think the lads are playing like they’re busy looking over their shoulder either, Rooney has them focused and performances reflect that.

We have to wait and see but my point is Rotherham will find it difficult to keep winning games with a small squad and so many games to play in such a short time .
If they do then they deserve to stay up and if Derby don’t get 4 points out of the last 5 games they will deserve to go down.
IMO Wycombe and Sheff Wed are already down .
Sheff Wed last game against us at PP could be a decider but I don’t think it will come to that
