Massive oversight in all the interviews I’ve read/watched with him so far, that he hasn’t been asked this question, as we all want to know -

Are sausages back on the menu???

Hope not, that was the start of the slide

Served with onions and we would all be crying.

Give fringe players a game and get out of the cup, going to be a long season and I’d rather give the EFL trophy a proper go.

Agree, we ain't goner win this cup. Put in the fringe players, giving them more game time and experience. Hate to see any injuries coming in a cup competition that does not make any money for the club until the later stages in which we have no chance of making.

I know our last 3 away games been frusrating but our first away win will come we are creating chances just the ball will not going in the net at the moment but we have manage another solid away point and another clean sheet 4 games unbeaten now so that is postive to take from game today.

I have the same faith as you B4, yes we will get better and especially if we have on or two more additions to the squad before the transfer window shuts. What we want in the next few games, is the ball going in the net early in the match. That will force teams to open up against us, which create more space in behind their back line.

Having watched the highlights it looks like we had a lot of half chances to score but nothing really clear cut. Even the Knight header was quite a difficult opportunity.

The best chance was McGoldrick’s near the end from a few yards out which he really should have buried.

Also watched the highlights and paused it at 3.18minutes to see their goalkeeper with both feet behind his line and also the ball. Most of the Derby players close to it raised their arms to celebrate a goal that was not given.

    Really can’t wait.

Im just looking at the early shread of evidence and with a statistician’s nose pointing out how it’s looking. “When we gel, fitness etc” is just opinion & conjecture. My hypothesis uses the accumulated evidence.

Accumulated evidence (after 6 games, 3 won, 2 drawn and one loss). Take the cup game out of the equation and if we stay on that form over the 46 games we will finish on approx 74 points which on last season's League one table would put us in 8th place. But take the 2 draws (we were the far better side in both and they could have been wins). The defeat at Charlton also could have been a win or at least a draw. Of course it's an opinion that the team will get fitter, gel better and find the goal scoring touch. It could be another persons opinion that we could get worse (but I, along with many others doubt that).

Only saw the highlights and read the text commentary ( was at a wedding) jees how many chances ?

hey, we came away with a point at an away game, another day and we’d be looking at 2 or 3 nil. It’s got to be seen as one of those days. Thing I like is reading “Roseignors slick Derby” and seeing the number of shots, close shaves and a clearly dominant side. It will come good. Patience lads. A couple of wins and Collins off the mark and confidence will soar as will the fear factor. How did we look on playing out from the back ? Were we a bit slow and sideways again or is it looking more purposeful?

Yes and with a couple of additional signings and a few wins with a team that was only put together approx 6 weeks ago, we will get better, I'm not going to state we will the league, but I'm convinced we will get better. The fixtures have not been kind to us, playing against sides at home that will probably be in the the top half of the table. With the last 2 away games being against teams we should get 3 points against, especially if we come up against them later in the season. Providing we don't have a massive injury list, we will be up there. Also lets not forget, we are the big club in the league that every team will raise their game against.

Hopefully LR will figure things out and get things firing. And I agree, we have no divine right to beat anyone, Shrewsbury included, but if the squad have any ounce of ambition (and the majority have stated that the aim is promotion), then we really should be beating teams like Shrewsbury. Anyway it's another point on the board (even if it's a disappointing one) and hopefully LR can find a way to get things clicking in the final third. Onwards and upwards.

Just under 5 weeks ago we had 5 players, this virtually new squad will take time to gel and get better. Steve Cotterill's teams are always hard to score against, even last season they only conceded 51 goals even though they finished in 18th position. The fixtures have not been kind to us, having played up until tonights game against teams that finished in the top half of the table barring Barnsley who came down with us. Rams fans please have faith, it's a long season and not a sprint.

Can't understand the footballing logic of some posters on here....in one breath they're saying we are boring and pedestrian and safe and the other we need to sign shed loads more strikers....we can have 3 strikers playing for us but if they never get the ball it's totally pointless.

How many chances did we actually create tonight?

12 to Shrewsbury's 10 and we had 4 on target.

  9. Let's not forget, 4 weeks ago we only had 5 players. I believe, the more we play and train throughout this season, the better we will get. Liam has got hold of some quality players in the 13 he has brought in so far. I hope we do find another right back, because Knight would have a field day in this division playing in midfield.

You standing 100% behind these heights ?

Cannavaro especially surprised me. Shows that height isn't everything.

He was imperious yesterday, think he has looked sluggish off the mark in a footrace so compared to a Rio Ferdinand/Paul McGrath he isn't exactly blessed naturally so will be interesting how far he can go.

Definitely good enough to be Captain of a Championship winning team so that's good enough for me!

At 19yrs of age Eiran Cashin could grow another inch or two before he gets to 21.

There's something going on at our club that gives me the Arthur Cox, Jim Smith vibe.

I can't put my finger on it, but something instinctive in me tells me we're entering a new exciting chapter.

The planets seem to be aligning.

Something in my water ( and hopefully it's not cystitis) tells me we're at the beginning of something big, and I've not felt this way for many a year.

I feel something brewing. Don't ask me how, I just feel it....

I think we're at the outset of a huge uplift for our club.

Remember where you heard it first... ?

Get out the pub and go home

  12. Did'nt know this until I googled some information about the Watney Mann Invitation cup. We were the 1st winners and it only ran 4 times. Following the dissolution of the competition in 1975 the trophy itself was put up for sale and purchased by Derby Museum, who presented it back to Derby County. It was put on display in the club trophy cabinet where, in 2018, it was spotted by the chairperson of Stoke City fan's council who helped arrange a share deal between Derby and Stoke City, who had been the last winners prior to the competition finishing.

when i finally tried red barrel when nearly old enough it was awful been a lager drinker ever since

Taste buds did'nt improve much then, get some Real Ale down your neck. It was the Watney's Red barrel that forced 4 young men to form Camra (campaign for real ale). They wanted to stop the tasteless weak keg beers from pushing Cask beers out of the pubs. Just another fact: Watney's Red Barrel was not launched until 1971 and ceased being brewed by Sleeman breweries in 1997. But about 6 years ago a brewery in Belguim called Alken-Maes brought out a Lager called Watney's Red Barrel at 5.2% abv.
