Thing is we're not coached / set up tactically in a way which encourages good build up play and neat passing between players, so when we do end up in these positions we end up messing it up, because it's not natural to us.
McGoldrick papered over so many cracks in that regard and as much as I like Waghorn he's not in the imperious class and relies much more on the service to him (which is at times non-existent unde Warne) than McG did.
...and we've moved further away from the Rosenior/Warne hybrid to a a pure Warne style, which further limited the opportunities for a player to do what McG did 
 

You tell forum members to give there head a wobble but then basically say our managers tactics are to rely on one player to have a messi type game. Playing fornah as a 10 is sunday league management and playing a bac 3 when you don't have the squad. People will say that was a back 4 but could easily have been a back 3 with smith rcb. Should have brought NML off way earlier but didn't. Playing elder at wing is criminal or was he a LWB. Could have started bark's on the left and brought him off at 60. 

and at least in 07/08 we were getting torn apart by quality opposition, the teams we are playing in this league are genuinely terrible. 
 
this is the weakest league one for years thats the most concerning thing.

With 3 yrs on their contracts it's probably a million quid pay off.  We'll have to wait till next year unless we stick them on gardening leave and force the issue by continuing to pay them on a monthly basis and bring in someone else. 
The most turgid, insipid dross I've watched in 40 years bar the last 10 games of 07/08 where they clearly couldn't give a s***.
The amount of injuries we're now getting is insane as well.  What the hell are they doing in training, assault courses

It's just draining isn't it, Clowes needs to act before this season fades into nothing. He didn't hestitate to get rid of Roseiner. Why Warne? It was a clear mistake getting him.

He's been here a year, come September 22nd. He clearly just needs more time.
Wish I could be so bad in my job for a whole year and get away with it.

Was in the don’t know camp a few weeks ago, any manager needs time to get a fresh team together to gel but you’re right, it’s an awful watch.
 
Likewise trying to be patient but there’s barely a glimmer of a plan, it’s just an horrible watch ☹️

I hate his football. It makes me livid. Get rid.
PS: tried being patient, now fully convinced he is NOT the right man for the job. I can’t relate to the shiiiite that he calls football. These are not bad players, they are being coached in a damn awful way. His football has no place in the modern game. 

The number of good characters in the dressing room has increased dramatically. They can't play football together very well, but in training they have a right laugh with each other.

I can take bad football and winning.
I can take good football and losing.
We’ve got neither, there seems to be no direction, no plan and no improvement.
Warne is a fraud and needs to go.

So many of those 'passes' are pure hopeful hoofs without any real knowledge of where your teammate is. It's so ugly to see as the home team have no real plan of patient build up play but with Warne as long as you have padded out your running stats on your StatSports man bra you've done well!

Just get him gone.

I liked him at the start but now he just grates me. 

The goal may have been offside, but our own fault for some amateur game management. Besides, not like we deserved to win based on yet another abysmal showing. Get the fitness coach out!

Just when I was about to say "scrappy win but I'll take it" after seeing poor game management from us since we scored. Why we was trying to thred passes through the eye of a needle when we are defending a late goal i dont know. We needed to keep it simple, play the ball back and keep it. Instead we sat back and invited them onto us.

last season we struggled to get points against direct rivals away from home, we've balanced that out by not getting points against them at home too

Any sympathy I do have for PW stems from the fact that the players executing badly on the pitch just exacerbates the problems we encounter with his preferred system.

Mendez-Laing looking like a player whose been starting games at 2 in the morning and has jet lag. It was always evident that his choice to play international football for Guatemala was going to seriously impact a player who was struggling to play in this type of formation energy wise.  Our decision at that point should have been the call up is great mate but we have too make a choice as well, your on the list.
Had the usual 10 minutes, then the opposition worked out our prehistoric one dimensional kick into the corner footy as per and pressed up.
Smith is not keeping his eye on their winger at all.
Washington has terrible control.
Nelson pick off the bunch.
Fornah seems keen on a backwards pass.
Hourihane will be out for 4 weeks I'd expect .  Should have come straight off. 
Forsyth must score.
I'd love to see 4 or 5 passes without losing it .  It's really not the best.

Let’s face it, the football on offer from Derby is dire. No collective possessions just little individual scraps of play followed by a loss of possession. It’s poor & I can’t see anything to be excited by. One goal will be enough to win this …

This is the most boring derby team I've watched since rowett. The only thing I can see they've done in the 2 works week of training is to see who can kick the ball the longest and pass it faster and wider back to goalie. 

He has been pretty poor for me this half, commentators bigging him up, been offside 3 times on through balls, missed a 4 yard pass to put Waggy in ...... etc
