I’d definitely make Fozzy club captain, partly for sentimental reasons but he’s also hugely experienced, a leader and I’m sure someone the younger players look up to. When he’s not playing, it’ll be our new sh1thouse centre half or sh1thouse centre mid.

I’d echo this. Club captain is different to team captain isn’t it?

Forsyth has been here 10 years and knows the club inside and out. Be perfect as a club captain.

I’ve heard Clark Robertson Is one of the players shown around along with Wes Harding like others have said. Expect knight to leave. Didzy wise I’ve heard he’s staying but wants 2 years rather than 1

Based on what I say this season McGoals is fitter than most of our squad.
If we only play him for league games and get another 18 months of his quality then I’m all for it. He doesn’t rely on pace it’s all upstairs with him isn’t it?

MK Dons got 89 points and finished above Wednesday last year. Different club sizes sure, but that actually has little to do with the point being made.

Wednesday are going to have to be cautious about recruitment this summer, I don't think they'll have that much FFP room with the likes of Bannan on 30k+ in league one. I imagine a lot of their players are on decent contracts as their last payday. I actually would rather be in our position than theirs, who knows what stage their planning at for league one is, it was reasonable to assume they would go up comfortably.

I think it's too simplistic to assume they'll just be automatically towards the top. It's likely going to be wholesale change with a lot of their players going out of contract and the manager almost certainly going. Who knows. I'd favour our current stability.

Their squad is currently stronger than ours.
Them being hamstrung by FFP is probably equivalent to us only being able to offer modest fees within a business plan.

They’ll probably replace Moore who’s arguably been unlucky. They don’t have to sell players, and if your analysis of their squad is accurate there won’t be a clamber for any of them.

MK on the other hand had their quality gutted (Twine etc), couldn’t replace with like for like due to being MK and ultimately fine margins are brutal at this level.

They did finish with 96 points, but many teams have come close and not been anywhere near as good the year later. MK Dons springs to mind. Wednesday has an aging squad, what we lack if pace and athleticism, they might have some objectively good players but it isn't what we need. Quite reasonable to say we wouldn't sign their players.

Yeah but MK dons and Wednesday are very different beasts aren’t they?

They’re in a stronger starting position than we are (evidently by comparing our seasons) and will be able to match us financially for any recruitment this summer.

I think there might need to be a bit of a rebuild. I look at their side and I honestly don't see any player that I'd want Derby to have.

Their recruitment policy seems to be to recruit experienced robust league one players. But that has resulted in them being very one dimensional. They are a functional outfit. Some of their players look a bit over the hill. Their attack is slow and uninspiring.

They've had two bites at the cherry now. Despite their points total I just can't see that same side going again next season. They need a bit of a rethink with some fresh hungrier players.

They achieved 96 points in the same league . I’d suggest that if there isn’t a single player we’d have from their squad then we probably haven’t watched or don’t know enough about their players… 20 points more than us would point to a significantly better squad than ours.

they’ll be favourites for the title next season no doubt.

Yeah I actually really like them now, so much so I've just made them for my Football manager game so thought i would share.

That light blue one is a stunner too.
This was my favourite for years - would love to get a medium in it as I ruined mine ripping it playing football in. It shows that white doesn’t have to be boring.

*if anyone has a good quality medium of this shirt then let me know if you’re willing to part with it*

Although they have an older team, without the bonus of improving youngsters that we have.

And they've already spent big, so going to be hard for them to do it again.

Their fans appear apathetic about the quality of football and see their end of season demise similarly to us, in that they've run out of steam because of tired legs.

There are threads on their forum calling for nearly all their players to go. And as for Flint.....!

But they won about 5 on the bounce to finish the season on a high and set a new record for most amount of points without securing autos. I think they’re just being dramatic. Ipswich spent a fortune and Plymouth created the perfect storm of amazing young gaffer and brilliant squad.

4-0 Boro with 5 mins left . Commentator said “It’s ironic that Wednesday helped Boro to get in the play offs”. It looks like Wendies will be doing a re-build like us . They look very slow all over the pitch.

Their squad did achieve 96 points which has never not promoted a team in the EFL in history to be fair. Not a huge rebuild needed to go one further. Just not having Plymouth and Ipswich should be enough.

These are off the peg Joma kits I've crudely photoshopped, but I'd love something a bit retro

I love the middle one. I like the home shirt to sometimes be quite understated but like with that kit a few years back that had the silver/white diamond patterns I love the silver white lined pattern.

  10. Problem is that the retro designs look better but they need to be loose fitting. Shirts nowadays are skin tight. Anti fat man agenda.

I’m 31, in the prime of my life, only 11 stone and a medium in the latest home kit clings to me.

He, against Manu no less, dinked the ball over Oshea’s head to beat him. That alone saves him from a worst ever team 😂

The under 21s are decimated, as we knew they would be.

I'd have liked to keep Kido Taylor-Hart, but we might not be able to afford him.

I'm also pleased Carlos Richards has been offered new terms.

Not really too surprised by any other names on that list.

Bloody hell. There’s a huge rebuild needed.

I do have to take rumours like this with a pinch of salt, when the journalist in question can’t even employ a spell checker…

I have always thought that young players in the team of the division below is a good place to pick up some potential gems though.

Its ‘link derby to a player for clicks’ season

Exeter didn't offer him a contract and he's not been playing regularly at the back end of the season. He's still only 22, honestly I'd be happy to have him based on what I've seen - even if it's a low cost viable alternative. Usually, at this level, you don't see too many technically sound players and he looked very comfortable.

I can't get my head round Exeter not offering him terms, therefore no compensation, but they must have their reasons.

If you consider Roberts did the role well and is a potential free transfer if Brighton don’t offer him big bucks then this lad could be an excellent deputy.
