Publicly criticising a 19 year old after coming on as a sub doesn't strike me as great man management

Yep, Rooney is being a right rick. He's regularly the most impactful sub (even when it's usually only 10 minutes he's given) and it's always, "he needs to do more." Meanwhile Waghorn, Jozwiak, Gregory etc. get much more chances than him and have been woeful for the majority of the time, yet seem to receive much less criticism than Sibley.

He's an athlete, tall, strong, good shot stopper, good with the ball at his feet, maybe he's one of those goalkeepers who improves with age.
If he improves his ability to come and claim the ball, confident to know when to catch and when to punch, he'll be a top keeper.
If he had learnt that a bit sooner we'd be in the Prem. (still can't forgive him for Villa's second goal at Wembley)

I'm interested to see why AC Milan were so keen to bring him in, seems like a massive risk for a team who are potentially close to winning the league for the first time in forever. I did a quick google search on the Milan manager and he was apparently a very fast ball playing defender in his playing days and wants defenders to push high up the pitch and join in with the attack.
Sounds tailor made for Tomori, wish him all the best.

Just voted Most Valuable Player by Sporting KC fans. I think that's their "Player of the Year".

Plan B is always do plan A better.
Very few sides in history have multiple set ups comprising the same players.

I’d rather have Bielik in the ‘Thorne’ role. Shinnie as the Bryson and then take ya pick for the Hughes role (Knight, Sibley, Holmes?)
Other than the gaping void that is Chris Martin. What we currently have is much better strength in depth than we had when Steve first came in. When Hughes or Martin or Thorne/Eustace were out for a month or 2 we had v little back up. Whereas now we do have many more options. Would love to see him get the best out of this lot. But I’m also mindful of his shortcomings.

The plan B argument ducking grates on me. No manager has a plan B. It was a stupid criticism people came up with because we couldn't win every game. It was our fanbase being ducking spoiled.

Chris Martin currently has more assists for Bristol City (4) than the entire Barcelona squad.
I've just seen Bristol fans describing him as a class above and a cut above in terms of his clever hold up play.
I am really really pleased for him, was my favourite striker at the club since Sturridge and he should have retired here.
If only we had used the money we tried to pay to Dursun/Austin/Kazim-Richards and gave him the 2 years he wanted.
    Go Chris Martin.

No wonder he went - as if we hadn't pissed him about enough with all the loans we sent him on.

    Goodbye Chrissy ❤️
More than anyone else, he MADE that 13/14 team. His play brought out the best in the others, and his confidence and skill gave them belief.
And what a lovely first touch he had - a true player.
I remember a grim afternoon losing at Watford, when the ball was bouncing of Connor Sammon in every direction. Chris Martin came on as sub and the contrast was immediate. I turned to my friend and we both said - now THAT'S a footballer!
