If some of MMs money is used to oil the wheels for the deal to go through and avoid the 15 points I’m not sure why people would then withdraw their support of the Club. I thought most wanted him to cough up in some way? And if as a result he retained a % or shareholding then so be it. Some Clubs have and are still bank rolled by Dodgy Russian money or Saudi government cash. Why should we be ashamed to have a local who want to at least try to right his past mistakes

Doesn’t bother me. It’s his property after all. I don’t think he’s involved in anything except working out the finer details of the stadium with the PB.

There’s been speculation on here that Morris will pay off MSD in order to avoid -15. And in return he will get some sort of sleeping investment in the club going forward.

If that’s what Q have been negotiating with him over the last 3 weeks, then he will be involved in every bid. And we should be pleased about that if it avoids -15 (or worse)

Mr Gibson should be concentrating on paying his HMRC bill with currently stands at £17 million and the unpaid transfer fees of £9 million not to mention paying back the £8 million he borrowed in the form of the EFL covid loan when he is not transferring Middlesbrough FC debt into his other businesses

    Re: Mel Morris health...
First, I know Mel Morris elected to ruin DCFC's finances (ironically after providing them all!) by dumping the club into administration - and the consequences are deep and damaging - but I do get exasperated when I see implied slurs based on health grounds ?
Yes he has been very ill, for sure. Cancer and Covid he has suffered I'm sure played a part in his abandonment of DCFC - I know he didn't have to quit, and has great personal wealth, blah....but time is precious - and money can't buy that.
He's a villain because of his actions but respect the individual, please.
Ask yourself...if you had notoriously tried to reform the EFL re: the TV deal, and parachute payments imbalance, and failed - to then find those self-seeking barestewards at EFL HQ lining him and his club up, with help from the demon Gibson, for years of disciplinary proceedings and debilitating restrictions which stripped the club of competitiveness, would you feel like quitting?
The audacious (or crazy!) signing of Rooney added further controversy, jealousy and ho!y but hypocritical opprobrium from peers (because of the 32Red sponsorship) added fuel to Mel's 'notoriety' and defiance of conventions...as did the amortisation method! I'm sure it all took its toll.
Coming into old age, infirm, also having promising managements poached (McLaren, Rowett, Lampard) by predatory clubs, with the club's potential unravelling before his eyes despite the investment, it's worth understanding that personal fatigue and ill-health.
Yes, Mel took a wrecking ball to the club in what he chose to  do last September - but the EFL have been piloting the controls for four years to 'get their man' and as anyone would, he wished to value his remaining time and move from the spotlight.
We wish he had not done so (not all of us!) due to the depletion of the club, but IMHO it was, finally, a case of 'enough is enough'.

We have been totally ducked over by the EFL and a curly haired duck.......and Mel Morris..

I don't believe it was in Mels intention, but it has ducked us, but I solely believe the EFL is the reason we are in our predicament, they have slaughtered us, and continue to do so, how the footballing world can continue to stand by and ignore the corruption and mismanagement is a Scur on our national game

I don’t think it’s strange. Sure MM was wreckless and then Covid spoiled his escape route. He was the instigator of our woes. No doubt about that,
But the EFL ? Supposedly the even handed governing body has kicked us, kicked us again and spat in our faces at every turn. Where were they in the farce that was Boro and Wycombe ? How come we were forced to field kids in a cup game or couldn’t re sign loaned veterans on short term deals. How come when judgements - made according to their own procedures - by their independent panels did they express “regret” or “reluctantly” accept decisions ? Mel made a mess but the EFL wanted to make an example of us and at the same time has been craven and dishonest in submitting to pressure from the likes of Boro. It’s rank hypocrisy and damned nasty

If you move from Pride Park, you are likely to lose it forever or a very long time....it would be a disastrous decision regardless of the league we are in.

Why on earth would people want us to ground share?
We would lose supporters in there thousands and still be paying a hefty rent. It would be madness.

I agree....and if we were actually doing well, as in looking like promotion, I suspect north of 20K even in league 2.....as long as Season tickets are actually put up for sale and the ticket office is open!

Burton capacity 6,912 of which 1,400 is the away end 2,034 seated, limited hospitality. Have you thought about telling Everton they don’t need a new ground, they could share with Tranmere rovers
