Cheers everyone. The one thing I really didn’t want was to spend today in hospital. It’s been tough as because of Coronavirus we are limited to one parent staying and the other is only allowed 2-7. 
She’s doing ok and is expected to make a full recovery, what happened on Tuesday has happened 4 times now (Tuesday was the 3rd) and they are finally acting on it. 
I managed to see my wife and daughter on my birthday, it was only for 5 hours but it could have quite easily have been for none. 
Thank you again to everyone, I just felt like I needed to vent yesterday to release a bit of frustration, disappointment, anger.

Now then ladies and gentleman... firstly I hope you are all well and secondly sorry for the mother of rants which is about to unfold...
As some may be aware from the ‘new parents’ thread I made last year I am lucky enough to now be the father of the most incredible little lady this planet has ever seen, also from that thread some of you may be aware that the pregnancy wasn’t all plain sailing. 
Unfortunately neither does the living side seem to be. Our daughter had corrective surgery to save her life at 1 day old... in the next 44 days before coming home she would go on to have 5 collapsed lungs, 2 cardiac arrests, 1 blood transfusion, 7 ventilations, 2 more surgeries and numerous amount of pain relief/medication.
last Friday though everything was brilliant and me and my wife were finally able to bring her home... the next few days were the best of my life and something that we were robbed of for the first month and a half of her life, we had numerous visitors and for to introduce her to her family.
on Tuesday we went to the park with our other daughter as quite understandably she was quite overwhelmed and a bit jealous about her new little sister... whilst at the park I was feeding Clara-Leisa who subsequently stopped breathing and vomited blood through her mouth and nose. I had to do CPR in the middle of the park on her as the air ambulance (absolutely amazing) and 2 road ambulances turned up. 
Thankfully I managed to get her breathing again and the incredible paramedics and drs kept her going and she’s on the mend.
i don’t really know the purpose of this post but just felt it would possibly help to have a Release.

Dorset ribeye, on a bed of own grown ratatouille, with a Saint Agur, shiitake mushroom and white sherry jus, all washed down with a glass of Grand Reserva Rioja Tinto.

Cumin roast pork, roast spuds and carrots, buttered Savoy cabbage and broccoli, with a roast cumin and white sherry jus, all washed down with a glass Sauvignon Blanc.

Cajun spiced lamb chops, served with vine tomatoes, all washed down with a glass of Rioja Tinto.

Fillet steak, topped with Stilton rarebit, on potato rosti with Red wine jus.

Liked this, knee would’ve spoilt it

I can't match @froggg for his artistic presentation. 
Just had my first attempt at making samosas. They don't look great (they're a bit tricky, and I'm an absolute novice at rolling pastry), but they sure were tasty...

 
Recipe if anyone is interested:
Samosas (makes 10 samosas)
Ingredients – dough
·        100 g Chakki Atta Flour ·        100 g Plain flour ·        0.5 teaspoon thyme ·        0.25 teaspoon salt ·        40 g oil ·        70 ml water Ingredients – filling
·        100 g lamb mince, fried ·        200 g potatoes ·        Half an onion, chopped and fried ·        I teaspoon cumin seeds ·        0.5 teaspoon fennel seeds ·        1 teaspoon ground coriander ·        0.5 teaspoon ginger paste ·        2 green chillies, chopped ·        0.5 teaspoon garlic paste ·        0.5 teaspoon garam masala ·        0.25 teaspoon red chilli powder ·        0.25 teaspoon salt ·        Handful of frozen peas Additional – flour+ water glue
Method – dough
·        Sieve flours into mixing bowl. ·        Add salt and thyme, mix well. ·        Mix in oil, working to incorporate using just fingers (3-4 minutes – should become like sand or crumbly gravel, when squeezed will hold shape) ·        Slowly add water, mixing until a stiff dough is formed. ·        Cover with damp cloth, leave for 30-40 minutes. Method – filling
·        Parboil and roughly chop potatoes ·        Fry onions until caramelised ·        Add peas, continue frying for 2 or 3 minutes ·        Fry keema/lamb 10 minutes until cooked ·        Add chopped potatoes, stir, fry for 1 minute ·        Add all spices with onions, potatoes and keema, mixing continually, fry for 5 minutes ·        Set aside, leave to cool Method – constructing the samosas
·        Divide dough into 5 equal balls ·        Roll dough ball (keep others covered with damp cloth) into 6 or 7 inch oval/circle ·        Cut in half ·        Construct cones (use the straight edge of each half to form the seam) ·        Fill samosa with meat/spice filling (2 or 3 dessert spoons – divide filling into 10) ·        Glue together with flour/water ·        Pinch edges to seal ·        Repeat with other half ·        Repeat with other dough balls (should now have 10 samosas) ·        Lightly oil (vegetable/sunflower, not olive oil) ·        Cook samosas (4 or 5at once) in air fryer for 10 minutes on low heat (160 C) – turn once ·        Cook for a further 5-10 minutes on higher heat (190 C) to brown – turn once

Cajun spiced Dorset pork chops and spinach wilted in garlic butter, all washed down with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

Black iron potatoes (Potatoes, bacon and cheese), chicken dragon egg ( chicken breast stuffed with chillies, cream cheese). Wrapped in bacon  
All done on the Weber Kettle. 

To celebrate today’s victory, extra spicy jerk chicken, all washed down with a glass of ipa from wylan brewery.

You know when you look in the fridge, and everything is out of date the next day?
This is what results!

Bacon, sausage, potato filled perogi, fried egg and a late addition of scrambled egg as the first yolk into the pan split.

Frank hasn't let me down tonight. I know it won't be a popular opinion on here but I am really pleased for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp. Worthy champions.

Had a lovely day today. Went up to the Peak District with my brother and the dogs.  Parked at Hathersage and walked up onto Stanage Edge, beautiful views and beautiful weather.  Came back via Thornbridge brewery and picked up some lovely beers for the weekend!

Jerk Dorset Lamb chump chops (rare)on a watercress mixed salad, all washed down with a glass of Phoenix IPA from Drop the Anchor brewery in Christchurch.
