My wife is due to give birth in June so I’m not going to renew, but I will do my best to get to some games and watch them all. I’m hoping to be back the following season, depending on how life plays out.

Bring the baby to the first game and get them hooked.  I did with my eldest daughter - age 5 months and better behaved than most fans given that we lost 5-0 to Sunderland. It was a close call but I decided to keep her and indoctrinate her with all things Rams despite not being local.

Pundits on Sky know naff all outside of the Premier League nowadays... I don't think anyone expected automatics, a play off place at best, and we have a good chance of a playoff place. COYR 🐑

Really clueless. Do you get more of their dirge with their new deal next season or will they get pundits in place who have a modicum of knowledge. Curtis would be good.

  3. I’ve tried multiple times to get three new STs. Each time all is good until after entering card details it says “Payment process was not completed. Click here to try again”. Tried different cards each time but nothing showing on accounts and no email receipt from club.

  4. Good letter, but the High Court isn’t a standard arbitration service for anyone with a dispute. It’s between MFC/WWFC and DCFC so it should only end up in court if these parties are involved.  MM would be better off indemnifying DCFC but not sure how that can be done.  The EFL are the architects of this mess, so the ball is back in their court.

  5. A high profile and highly winnable case like this would surely attract some decent pro bono lawyers? The question is whether Quantuma want to appoint them and can the club afford who they want?  I presume there’s no scope for a 3rd party (Fans groups) can instigate any action?

  6. A very special day with my family joining me. A great pre- and end-of-match atmosphere.  I was back in the East stand again for the first time in a few years (SW normally these days). I was disappointed to hear quite a bit of direct criticism/shouting at our players, which is the reason I left the East stand (having had a stand-up argument with a few ‘I pay, I’m entitled’ brigade. Poor play by individual players should be met with encouragement in my book, or at least keep it muted. . I’ll be returning to the SW corner ASAP.

I don’t think Geldards would have the appetite on the basis that the amount repayable to them in a CVA (25% max) is not much more than they are paying one junior solicitor p.a.  I still wonder whether MSD might be the saviour here. They have a lot to lose, because if the club folds because of EFL intransigence, they only have a stadium to fall back on which will be pretty valueless without a football team to play in it. In fact it will be a drain to keep it maintained. I would think their Lawyers will be primed to serve a writ on the EFL if the statutory protections that are available to them under Insolvency Law continue to be stymied by out of step membership rules that mean no buyer is willing to complete a purchase.

Geldards have a long history with the club which, despite MM, will remain intact. There’s other local businesses with similar, and I’d hope that they are doing more in the background over and above signing petitions. If they need cash to support a campaign I’m sure there’s be willing contributors through crowdfunding. I’m surprised that there’s nothing like that I can see currently (except for the petition and a flag).

If you were a creditor would you be happy that 'your' money had gone to pay off those two chancers?!

Is there any chance that a creditor (such as Geldards) takes legal action against the EFL to protect their interests as a genuine creditor? Could they get other creditors on board to take a joint action?

I'm not sure they can act so subjectively.  We all have one view on it, that has been aided by Q's version of events.

We're now seeing Rick Parry's comments, of course his are from his angle too.

But if there is a process it has to be followed objectively, Parry's comments suggest that.  So it leaves an alternative angle of thinking.

I'm not saying that they are acting with total impartiality, it feels like anything that can be used against the club, is.  I think the comments of them acting unlawfully, based off Q's comments are possibly misguided though.

I am an objective and pragmatic person, so I try to view things through neutral eyes, as it best places my judgement, that's all.

Is it possible to get a local law firm (Geldards?) to act in the interests of the club in pursuing legal challenges (pro-bono ideally, crowd-funded if not).  For example, I think the EFL may have received public funding (to administer covid loans) which then potentially makes them subject to judicial review.  Or, alternatively, is there a basis to challenge the EFL on behalf of one or more of the legitimate creditors whose interests are being undermined by the EFL's apparent desire to treat Middlesbrough and Wycombe on the same basis as creditors, when this is counter to my understanding of how administration process should be run.

  10. Long-lime lurker here (former Ramsnetter and season-ticket holder, back in the day), now riled enough to be more proactive to save our club, and raise awareness with as wide a community as possible (given the paucity of coverage by BBC etc).

Sorry if it's been mentioned elsewhere but, given Quantuma's reluctance (or budgetary inability) to appoint lawyers to fight our corner, is there any prospect of any of our larger local law firms taking any action, either pro bono or through crowdfunding?  David Williams is Chairman of Geldards (located on Pride Park) and is a former Director.  Any other suggestions?

    Up the Rams.
