His House (Netflix)
A new twist on a Haunted House horror film, with a refugee couple escaping Sudan and ending up in a run down house in a hostile UK town.
A slow burner but with effective tension-building abd a few scary bits. Not a bad debut for the Director.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
The original is one of my top 10 films & I re-watched it with Miss Wolfie last night in preparation for taking her to see the sequel today.
So disappointing. So many plot threads. So chaotic. So much stuff going on but strangely also So boring.

Yorkshire Gold, is the correct answer.

Any point scoring between the Warne In & Out camp is weird. We've just had one terrible performance vs Barrow, followed by a fantastic one vs Bristol City.
What will be the longer term trend? Nobody knows. You don't have to be polarised into one camp or the other. It's not black & white.
He deserves credit for the Bristol game (and for our points tally so far, IMO), just as he deserved criticism for the Barrow one.

Wicked Little Letters.
NetflixOlivia Coleman leading in a funny, sweary & touching comedy/drama about a search for the author of filthy poison pen letters being sent around a small town after WW1.
Thoroughly enjoyed this (more than expected, though I do love watching Olivia).

Smarty mobile.
Uses 3 network (owned by 3 I think). EU roaming.
I pay £10 rolling monthly contract for unlimited calls etc & 100gb data.
I pay the same for Miss Wolfie & she somehow got upgraded to 125 gb for no extra cost.
I can give a referral code if anyone wants it (both get a £10 gift card)

All the above are long on-going series. Special mention to John Ronson’s “Things fell apart” for a really interesting short series on the origins of culture wars.

Think what its saying is that the recorded amount collected in taxes when measured against the national debt for US is 76%
either way … deliberate or not it is alarming
its no secret countries like the US and UK are in massive debt and theres no money left .. other than what we borrow off the national credit card
which as we know needs to be inflated away … bitcoin .. protection against inflation bla bla bla etc lol
National debt percentages vary massively over time. For half of the last century, UK national debt was at a far higher % than it is now.
It’s reduced by a combination of reducing government deficits, economic growth and inflation.
What happens to bitcoin inflation protection if / when the price next collapses?

76% of all income tax will go to just to pay the interest payments on the US debt this year.
The predictions by a Peter Schiff that it will be 100% by 2035 look to be on track so unable to pay Medicare or social security payments. 😳
Its either cut government spending or tax rates going to extortionate levels.
Gold $2,400 near ATH.
BTC $ 67,000 14% from ATH.
Newmont mining up 50% since early 2024 lows.
Other commodities worth looking at as well.I am Currently 100% up MSMN and 50% up HEX both Helium stocks.
Pick your store of value and hope for the best because I very much doubt there will be political solution.
That tweet is alarmist and misleading, if I'm reading it right.
It says 76% of all income tax - which is itself only about 45% of total government revenue.
It's a big number, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't mean that they're spending 76% of total funds.

Yes but the stalks are located in the boot unless you pay extra

I often wonder if UI designers actually sit and 'drive' the cars and attempt to use the controls.
I've got a company Ford Ranger at the moment (not my choice) and 80% of the controls are now through the giant touchscreen, save for most of the heating controls. It's impossible to use while on the move, since you have to take your eyes off the road.
I was briefly driving my sis-in-law's VW ID3 and those slidy heat controls are ridiculous.
One of my bosses has a Tesla. It would really sit in the back of my mind 'what if the screen bricked itself'? I love tech, but to have critical controls of a ton of metal and batteries disappear because the screen failed? No ta.
It’s bizarre isn’t it. Manufacturers have tried to fix a problem that never existed and made it worse - and unsafe IMO.
BMW’s idrive system via the wheel controller was widely regarded as the best in the industry and they then decided to do away with it on some models and move everything to the screen, which has been widely panned in the motoring press. It’s the main thing that’s stopping me upgrading my X1 to the newer model.
