Trevor Birch said in his response to the supporters groups that the EFL and Quantuma have held daily meetings, how have Quantuma not agreed to the EFL’s involvement?
He went on to say the EFL have reached out to the solicitors of the prospective bidders who have refused consent. Trevor Birch, of the EFL, has put it in a written correspondence that it is the bidders who do not want to share with them.
Quantuma have shown themselves to be useless in a lot of ways all the way through this process, it simply isn’t their decision if the identity and data of the parties involved can be shared.

Have I missed the news about the potential buyers confirming they agree to the EFL being involved?

We should be looking forward to the new season but thanks to MM (and a bit of EFL, Gibson etc) we are witnessing possibly the slow death of DCFC. Disgusting

If the worst were to happen and we dropped out of the Football League then sadly that's finito as far as my going to watch Is concerned and I'm sure the vast majority will feel the same. Every respect to the die-hards who would continue to follow Derby County (albeit under another name) but having been a supporter since 1979 and probably missed no more than a dozen home games since then, it just wouldn’t be the same.
Me going to watch my team would be no more so I pray that someone, anyone, even at this late stage, will come forward and rescue this great Club which means so much to so many people.

The start of that report quite clearly said they’d spoken to Andy Appleby and he had provided the figure. (I think their breakdown of it was their own work, though.)

With the greatest respect, that last paragraph is drivel. Birch’s reply sounds like Quantuma have said they are happy to share discussions, but it would also require the permission of the other parties involved (ie the bidder) who have not given their consent. Having leaked like a sieve for a year, I’m not surprised bidders want to keep the EFL away from a closed and confidential bidding process.

This is getting forgotten about.  The EFL’s response goes on about how administration works, options, what Quantuma have or haven’t done, etc and then there’s this throw away bit at the end.  No doubt when asked by the EFL, Quantuma probably pointed out that they can’t due to NDAs, etc.  They probably advised the EFL to seek express permission from the bidders legal teams.  This has been done - for all we know it could have been done 10mins before the reply to Ramstrust was sent.  Quantuma have dealt with the request correctly, despite the message the EFL are trying to send.

Exactly. Birch's reply says Q has told the EFL that they have responsibilities under GDPR. Why on Earth should EFL need to be told this?

True, the EFL now find themselves trapped in a corner and are looking for a scapegoat.

    This.
Rick Parry will be desperate not to be blamed if we go under. He is personally responsible for his failure to deal with Gibson's spurious claim. Cowardly and unprofessional behaviour which will never be forgiven.

Cobblers   Q should just tell bidders that if they want to stay in the frame then they need to consent to disclosure to EFL
Once again Q make the wrong call

Just typical EFL posturing. I think they're absolutely s******* themselves now their pursuit of Derby is looking like it could prove terminal, so they are desperately trying to position Q as the villains of the peace and hoping everyone will forget their role in this whole, sorry debacle.

The EFL knows this and should always have known this. Or perhaps they skipped basic GDPR training.

Q aren’t blocking them. The law means the bids are confidential. EFL can only speak to a bidder if the bidder wants to talk to them - and none of them do.

Hi B4. The BBC Sport article says the same thing - Q have informed EFL that it would be against the law for them to tell the EFL about bidders and bids. EFL want to speak to bidders’ lawyers but haven’t been able to - although it’s not clear from this why they haven’t been able to.
