  1. Maybe it’s my age butI have tears in my eyes having just caught the news about Franny.

He was one of the game’s great characters and gave his all for the Rams.

I was at the match when he gestured to the Man City fans who had been chanting “City Reject!” at one of their greatest servants after scoring the winning goal for the Rams!

He also did his trademark crawl into the penalty area and was the picture of injured innocence when the ref didn’t award a penno!

RIP Francis and condolences to your family.

We played Cambridge, who missed relegation by one point last season, we should be beating teams of their standards if we want to be in the promotion mix. Especially at home where under Warne we have only won 2 league games since the begining of March. Yes that 11 matches with just 2 wins, both a miserly 1-0 result.

That’s relevant to my post how?

  3. When he joined I said it wouldn’t be long before someone would post the pun “Warne Out!”

It took a little longer than I expected!

This poll achieves nothing other than undermining the confidence of a manager having to build with bricks without straw!

He is doing the best he can and has made bold moves in difficult circumstances of which we know nothing!

But what did did we do right apart from all that stuff? 😂

Reminds me of Sir  Laurence Olivier who did a perfect portrayal of Hamlet.

    He didn’t acknowledge the applause.

Later a friend asked him. “You gave the most brilliant performance of your life, so why are you upset?”

”I’m fully aware of that, but I don’t know WHY!”

I’m not sure I get this “can’t handle a big club with high expectations theory”. Our only expectation at the moment is to get out of league 1 - exactly the same as Rotherham’s expectations were when he was manager there surely? If he was trying to manage Premier League players with their over hyped egos then I could understand it but not when he’s, on the whole, managing lower end Championship and league 1 players.

I reckon it’s nothing to do with the size of the club or its expectations but, assuming he doesn’t succeed at Derby, it will just be another case of a manager being successful at club A but then failing at club B for no apparent reason. It seems to happen all the time. Knowing our luck, he’ll get the sack from Derby and then take one of our rivals to the Championship ahead of us.

    Get out of League one….

I'm sure they're eager to return to the good old days.

    They sacked Cloughie after44 days.

Players’ revolt over his disciplinarian style of management.

This crime against football was in January 1978.

Within two years Sir Brian had won two European Cup finals!

And some folk still wonder why Dirty and Leeds are synonymous.

    ALSO….

If the fans had been penned in like at Leppings Lane, Hillsborough 11 years later!!?

    Makes one shudder eh?

Charles Hanson, auctioneers in Derby have a sports auction ,maybe 2 or 3 times a year,I am sure if you speak with them they would have a look at your fathers collection, maybe there might be one or two special ones,I would think that an auction site is the best way for you to go,and with the internet, think of your audience you will have, good luck

He’s a mad keen Rams supporter too!
