They were a lot more than twice as heavy mate.
They were made of leather that was soaked in molten lead for 3 years and then coated with osmium to a depth of 2 inches before finally being sprayed with plutonium to ensure they lasted the game when being thrashed to death by the likes of Alan Hinton.

I have, been to seven in the National League plus a couple of others in lower leagues - guess Premier Ram must be similar too.

I’ve been to 75 of the current 92 and 84 altogether, hoping to get to the 7 in this division I’ve not been to including Cheltenham this season.

Very happy to have got a ticket for Cheltenham today as it's a ground I've never seen us play at - this'll be the 86th of the current 92 league grounds I've seen Derby play at so I'm well pleased ?

I feel like it’s something to do with age. People falling out of love with the game because it’s no longer what it used to be.

I am, and never have been, a "music buff".
Usually when seeing a thread of this ilk, I have to blindly click on the thread, and then maybe, at a push, think "Ah right... That's who they are on about!"
When I saw this title, not only did I immediately recognise the name, I could even picture the face, reel off a few song titles, and name his bands (Well, only The Specials and Fun Boy Three, to be fair).
For me to be capable of that pretty much sums up his standing in the wider echelons of the music world, I'd say... certainly from "Our era".
 
Sad news indeed... but forever tinged with some wonderful memories, so thanks a million, Mr Hall.
