I'd like to see a different approach. Perhaps a slow, laborious first half, with maybe 2 corners and one half-hearted shot on goal. Then a good 30 mins of the second half being... erm... even less productive. Then bring on a ruck of defenders to hopefully seal the draw, after 14k fans have already departed "to beat the traffic"*, before... wait... wtf... it's just gone in off Gayle's ar5e! I was responding to your comment "can't think of too many world class saves he's made in 18 months here (?)". I was suggesting that he maybe isn't expected to do so? At no point did I intend to suggest he was world class. I do, however, agree with your comments referencing Carson & Grant. Further, I'm not keen on speaking on behalf of others, so I'll refrain from responding directly to your question above, as much like yourself, I too have no idea why others think what they do. 🐏

If every keeper in the world made 1 "world class" save per season (each), such saves would be demoted to "Excellent" or "Bloody fantastic". They are called "World class" for a reason. Most keepers go through a full career without achieving one.

My biggest plus from last night was that something came up, and I completely missed this game. (Lucky me!) I only have these pages to go on, but it ain't good reading! I'm just glad I renewed on Monday, otherwise my little joke about changing my mind might well have come to fruition!
