  1. I take it you've already tried the heaving bosom of a loving sister? #justtryingtohelpamate.
  2. Warne Out Out thread... c January 2026... "Much more of this, and we won't even qualify for The Europa League. The man's a complete Dinosaur" etc, etc. 😁
  3. I clearly don't see everyone, and my comments were clearly (or maybe not?) describing the majority of those I do see... not everyone at the game! ... Anyway, that sounds awfully South-Standish behaviour to me, so no wonder I didn't see you all! πŸ‘€ πŸ˜‰πŸ»πŸ
  4. Are we calling each other tvv*ts and πŸ›ŽοΈends now? How very junior schoolish! Reminds me of that funny story back when I was nine years old... etc... etc... and then we all shouted "Boobies" and ran off! Great days! 😁
  5. There's no buzz on the way in... or on the way out. Not even yesterday, after a win! The vast majority appear to be slumped-of-the-shoulder. Smile-less even. Any hint of smiles/laughter can soon be determined to be on a personal level, not DCFC related (I eavesdrop a lot as I hang around outside before going in!) There's a distinct aroma of "Doing the chores" around the ground pre-match, as if most of us are there out of duty. I could be reading the signs wrong of course, and I'm sure some on here will argue with my observations, but they are my observations nonetheless, and I'm comfortable with airing them. Maybe it's the weather? Post-Christmas blues? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Fire away!
  6. Is that a fair question? As it didn't happen, how would we know? We can only guess. For me personally, I suspect (guess!) I'd be happier with a "Played ok, and just about deserved to win". Obviously, I'd prefer a "We played mesmerically well, and blew them away, thoroughly deserving of the 3 points and improved GD", but that's the ideal world scenario, and unrealistic to even hope for, let alone expect. If... IF... you insist we answer your open question, I'd say no. Points over performance for me... but only just... and only for now. I don't want yesterday's game to become the norm. I'd stop going... eventually... I guess!
  7. I've never had a downer on Warne. I was up his arse for a good few months... and personality-wise, I still like the guy/his humour etc, unlike many. Any hint from me re Warne Out has been 100% "Tongue-in-cheek"/"WUM", call it what you like. Even now, I'm not at the "I think it's time to go" stage. Even if and when I get there, it will be more out of rueful realism than full on rant. That's just my make up, I guess. I'll just shrug my shoulders and plod on. But even for a home-only attendee (Lincoln away aside), I very much agree with @sage with his "Hard work to watch" comments. I don't currently envy our stalwart home and away regulars, that's for sure. Nor even the home regulars that have a bit of a trek to get here! It's hard work to motivate myself to take the 30 minute stroll to get there. It's hard work to skip up the steps to my seat, with even the slightest hint of optimism or excitement. It's hard work to bellow out a "Come on Derby". It's hard work to even truly believe "We'll win this" before a ball is kicked. For me personally, it's even hard work to work out whether it's Warne's fault, the player's fault, or a combination. ...But it's definitely a hard watch! Points (and subsequent league position) just about trump performance for me, but there will always be a cut-off point. I'm not there yet, and I've no idea how close I am. I suspect if that comes, it will be a bolt out of the blue moment? But I'm not enjoying the watch. I'm not shouting from the roof tops that I'm a Derby fan. It's now't to brag about... unlike 14/15. As winter isn't over with yet, it's even hard work for me to proclaim that I'll attend every remaining home game this season. There's still the odd "Bitterly cold winter's mid-week evening" to come yet! I missed a few of those in Young Nigel's latter days. It may come around again this season yet. Of course, my absence (should it happen) won't matter a jot, as I'm not important, and my money's already in the coffers. And regardless of how this season pans out, I'm not currently planning to forego my ST renewal for next season. ... But it's definitely a hard watch. 4th, yer say? Touching distance of auto's, we cry? Cling on folks... there may just be some entertainment around the corner! 🐏
  8. I think I may have messed up... I started singing "There's only one C Davies"... then for no obvious reason, some fecker lobbed a 50p piece at me! What's that all about, eh! πŸ€ͺ
  9. Not had chance to catch up on here since I left for the game about 14:10, but I have just checked to see that we are still 4th, still 1 point of auto, 3 points of ftop, and of course, we won! Yeah! 🐏 We are absolutely on fire, and Mr Warne once again got his tactics spot on, so I fully expect this thread to be a jolly good wheeze! Right... here goes... wish me luck, I'm going in...
  10. ... And the target has been surpassed. Headstone incoming. Good work, everyone. 🐏
  11. It's one of those clever illusion things, as there's only 10 players on the pitch. Well done to @Ghost of Clough, I say. Fooled us all! 🀣
  12. Fingers crossed for yer Houlty. Best wishes, bud. xxx 🐏
  13. Home win 1-0 Collins pen Phew 🐏
  14. Agreed. ...And I very much like the thought of him being subbed off on 85 mins or so... on his own... regardless of the scoreline, and regardless of how the game's going. As guaranteed a standing ovation as standing ovations can be guaranteed, I'd imagine! 🀍 I think he'd like that very much too, if I'm reading his comments correctly. 🐏
  15. Yeah. Thanks for that mate. It's fair to say we each owe you a pint for saving us. Lord knows where we'd be now, if it wasn't for you. Big hugs xxx #thanksamillion #wewouldhavediedwithoutyou #dawnieisourhero #weoweyoubigtime #thankheavensfortherescuedog #etc
  16. ... and where's my effin' coat!
  17. Top Fan-ing, buddy. 🐏 ... Not too dissimilar to our own weekend, in fairness. Checked in mega-early at HIE (c. 10:45) after a horrendous 1hr 20min drive that involved at least 3 red traffic lights, and a runaway cat. Coffee & cake for lunch. Almost getting embroiled in a pre-match scuffle down the back street (Well, we had ring-side seats to the ensuing handcuffing operation, but missed the cause of it all). Seats in mid-row, so shuffling past real people and stuff. Standing for what seemed like nigh on two bloody hours! And all topped off with a pleasant evening pub meal, and a couple of tummy-warming spirit-based aperitifs. Must have been well past 22:20 by the time we hit the sack... and then she made me walk up that bloody hill to the castle... on a Sunday friggin' morning! FFS! I know! We're a breed unto ourselves mate. 🍻
  18. Wait! What? πŸ˜• When the heck did all this happen? 😲 There's nothing on the internet about (Mr) Clowes having previously sacked a manager! All I can find is a tangential reference to Liam Rosenior, but as he was never our manager, and never got sacked, it can't possibly be him you are referring to? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
