Happy to be corrected here, but I have it as: We win all our remaining games, we finish on 105pts If Bolton win all their remaining games... except the one in which they lose to us... they end up with 105pts. If they overturn our current +4 GD advantage, they end up above us. Therefore, Bolton can outdo us, regardless of how we do... which equates to it being not in our own hands just yet. 🤷‍♂️

I'm tempted to say I enjoyed that second half... even before the goal. OK, we still lacked a little composure. Guile. Dare I say skill. But I can take that, as I'm a fan of a third division team. But we did look willing. They did give their all. They did appear to believe in themselves... so much so that for the first time this season (at home), the fans sensed it. We too showed belief. That was the best home atmosphere of the season. The club as a whole deserved that winner today. We deserved those 3 points. We all deserve to feel that feelgood factor this evening. Today is the day that belief finally kicked in. We're a long way from the finish line of course, and I suspect we still have to endure a few ugly moments before we get there... but we're heading in the right direction, and tonight Matthew, I'm gonna be smug! 🐏🍻

No way did we deserve to win that... They even hit the post, FFS! 👀 🙄 Ha! A nice steady strike from Max for the first. Not spectacular by any means, but it's still a good 22/23 yards with 5 striped shirts and a keeper twixt him and the goal. Thumbs up from me. I'm gonna give Max the benefit of the doubt, and assume he knew where NML was (Or where he should be? 🤷‍♂️) for his delightful little triple reverse blind lobdink, and I adored NML's deft touch with his bonce, to set himself onwards and goalwards. Good touch, good run, and clinically finished. Only a cheeky little dink over the keeper could have bettered that... but I ain't complaining! My favourite of the highlight reel. As for the 3rd, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for coming inside, and curling one in from one corner of the box to the far post, around and beyond what is always an overstretched keeper. Beautiful! I'm sure I scored one just like that v @Henrycav81 in '77 (He always ended up in goal for some reason, can't remember why! 👀) #lastpick. Only seen 8mins, but hell yeah... we so deserved that! 🐏

Another positive from yesterday... I managed to get all the skirting board off, plus that bit of boxing-in around the rad pipes, so I'm all ready for the damp-proof guys coming on Thursday to smash my living room walls to smithereens. "A dream day out" should be a meet & greet with Rammie and his better half/sister/secretary/pretty young niece(🤷‍♂️), and maybe a tour of the facilities, before retiring for pre-match juice and microwave pizza in the community hub. Gone should be the days of including them to dither about trying to retrieve a ball for a professional sporting club with ambitions of conquering the world (or evening Middle England, for that matter!) There's plenty of other opportunities to entrap the poor little mites into the grasp of DCFC.
