Where's this from because if that's a cartoon from one of the papers its huge. That's a massive leap from social media and niche news to mainstream.

Just time out to thank the Mods at this time. Cant imagine how difficult it must be to keep on top of the volume of posts also at a time when feelings are running high. Think we'd all be lost without this forum so thank you

It’s good news. The whole point is not for the MPs to get the EFL to settle today - they won’t - but to be part of the pressure ratcheting up on the EFL to get to the point of agreement.
So far the EFL have interfered in all the wrong places and not interfered when they should have done. They can’t ignore the MPs and won’t, especially when they know that an independent regulator, which they don’t want, is on the Government’s agenda. So MPs pressure on them is both uncomfortable for them and important for us. They need to be encouraged to find solutions and that’s what the meeting will help to do.

They might get fobbed off today but if they've got anything about them they'll go away and speak to Q and the Supporters Group to form a rounded opinion. If they don't then that's the next thing we push for...

That was a fascinating reading both from a DCFC perspective but also a business perspective...

Is the local media (Radio Derby, DET) doing everything they can to highlight our Clubs' precarious position to the rest of the footballing world in this country? Surely at the very least, by now they should have asked to interview the owners of Boro and Wycombe, ask them to clarify their motives for pursuing the actions they are taking and get their view if these actions drive Derby County as we now know it out of business.
Make the news, don't just regurgitate other source information/ gossip.

I work with ministers and MPs (of all parties) and there’s definitely a wide range of competence, ability and conflicting motivations (eg party politics versus public good). Having said that, this issue - a legal disagreement with community impact - is exactly what they should be able to address, and a decent win for them in terms of positive PR if they can influence the situation.
Fingers crossed they can fight on our behalf, as this situation definitely feels political (with a small ‘p’) on EFL’s behalf.

Ian's right, it's been floating around a while but I think the subtle difference this time is that EFL regs don't seem to have been updated to reflect statute. If true, it might force EFL to change their stance.
Could be one of the preferred bidders teams that's pulled that one out of the hat (likely Ashley's given that's his business model) and if so and we draw a link to the Nixon article about Ashley and Gibson meeting that could be more about ensuring no new action is brought.
Who knows - pure journalistic speculation as someone once said - but it is getting interesting now. Let's hope we move forward - it felt like a huge 72 hours from Friday and a significant momentum shift...

So efl amend their rules and then Gibson puts in a new claim !
Any claim should only be applicable at the time of the old efl rules , which means it was invalid

So what do they mean 'it's the cause of the impasse'. Surely the cause is the EFL regs not being in line with the law?

Dai Capp got a reaction from Kathcairns in Care about DCFC - how to email your MP
Emailed our local MP Lee Rowley (North East Derbyshire) and I dropped Andrew Brigden a line asking about the presence of a 'Boro board member having a seat on the EFL board. I did point out Stephen Pearce held the same conflict but stood aside when matters of DCFC were discussed.
There does feel like some momentum building and frankly I don't care where blame lies as long as it gets rooted out and we have a club to support. At the moment it feels like EFL, Quantuma and Boro/Wycombe are behaving like big kids at the expense of DCFC - what we need is to get an adult in the room and sort it out...
