Curtains reacted to CBRammette in Optimism regarding takeover and survival
Yes I know what you mean. I think prospect of sale greater with a well-known figurehead at Derby and he certainly brought in better prospects than we all hoped for to fill the final squad places at the start of the season.

Remember when I got hammered for my Administration thread about Mel.
Time does tell

I think it's their job to be optimistic.
Whether they are right or not, time will tell!

No the ones who did Wigan said they were only 75% chance of them surviving to the end of season. They are now out of admin but it took them 18 months. Ouch.
The same guys then said we were only 50/50 but they woudln't have known who was interested , as they are outsiders looking in.

If you are talking about their quoted "95% chance", that is not optimistic enough for my liking.

If Admin are optimistic then so am I, We can only surmise as to what we're being fed by those in the position to know
-
Curtains reacted to Day in Optimism regarding takeover and survival
Appreciate that, but we're not talking about if we think we can win the next game or not.
You either take them at their word or not, to not I feel you need some kind of reason why not, so far I'm yet to see any reason to disbelieve them.

This. I'd believe nothing until it actually happens.

Says it all really

Essentially to me it looks like Derby can have a future with a sale if the HMRC debt can be reduced. If not then it’s liquidation unless some multi millionaire fancies this project. I think that seems to be the situation.
Really sad times.

Did Schteve ever say he was interested in Newcastle?
Eh? Eh? I said... Eh? ?

I know, it’s utter nonsense, 3 pages of wish list based on someone’s pipe dream lol!

Or in football generally? If he wanted out of Newcastle, why would he want to own another club? Especially an unsustainable Championship club.

It’s just a bit of chat, he been involved in football, has money and we are in distress - he fits the main things needed probably

Maybe they need to compromise or they will look as though they just don’t care about the club or the Derby area

I totally agree that’s why with the new HMRC rules we are in a mess if they want all the money.
The only saving grace is if we go into liquidation the HMRC get 100 percent of nothing .
The meeting between administrators and HMRC will be difficult as outcome could have effect on the local economy if we are in liquidation and HMRC get nothing

Curtains got a reaction from Miggins in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
The HMRC won’t want to be seen as letting Derby off.
We need to hope as fans it can all be sorted .
I was amazed that the administrator said he’s 95 percent sure Derby will survive .
I hope the optimism is not a false hope that’s all.
Obviously they are in the best position to know.

Not if a new owner has credibility and the business plan etc is signed off by the EFL, including undertakings to pay all creditors on time, which I think they will insist on. People want the business.

All I know is Mel /Club should have paid the Tax Bill.
Im conflicted by this as I want DCFC to survive.
I-hope HMRC don’t bill DCFC as I think MM needs to have som responsibility for it.
What a mess.
Have the club paid its share !
