After yesterday's high I decided to have a couple of sherbets and have a banging head this morning. For some reason I started looking at the alphabet (as you do when you are drunk) and thought about today's headlines about us stated in alphabetical order. I come up with this so far but went to bed before it was finished. Feel free to do you own:

The other thing I noticed was M N O P Q . Kept thinking No Morris, No Pearce, No Quantuma! Anyways, going back to bed! UTR!!!!

    Amazing post buddy,
and a situation that resonates so strongly with myself too.
Pp holds (along woth the bbg) some of my happiest and strongest memories with my late dad and to lose that place to go that i can feel that bit closer to him for 90 minutes would have broken me.
to lose derby county would have been a body blow too much for me.. so mr clowes… and the 1000s of u fans that stood up to be counted in our hours of need an eternal thankyou.
now lets back them like league 1 has never seen before

    Derby County. Saved.
    The joy, the relief.
Mine won’t be the only story like this, but after the passing of my Dad, who was a dyed-in-the-wool Ram, former steward home and away, the love for Derby County takes on another meaning. It’s a link to family - past and present - for so many, and to lose it would be heartbreaking all over again.
To see it saved means the world. And I’m celebrating with a Derbyshire whisky.
I was listening to the 'emergency' Sportscene. I shed a tear when Ed Dawes came on in tears. I fully lost it when the Punjabi Rams representative (who's name escapes me, my apologies) was talking about the laying to rest of another member (again apologies) whose proceedings mirrored my Dad's. I'm in tears again, typing this.
I really hope we as Rams never have to go through this again. I hope no fan ever has to go through this.
We have our club back. Don't EVER take it for granted.
Much love to one and all. My only regret is that I wasn't first to break the news ? I'd just got home from work, but seriously, this forum has been a haven - to know I'm not the only one who's life has been dominated by this one subject.
I can't wait for that 30th July vs. Oxford. Win, lose, or draw - it's going to be one hell of a party. Let's sell this mother out.
Peace ✌️ love ❤️ and Derby County ?

Agree, if we had gone my love of football would have dissapeared also, which would have been heartbreaking since being a fan since the 60's. Thanks to one man we are saved, back to enjoying football again, can't wait to see you all at Pride Park again in July.??

Oh i agree, the accademy has been absolutely stripped bare. I mean in normal circumstance the likes of cashin, malcom, williams, plange, festy, thompson and co would still be buried in our accademy learning their trade. But due to last year they had to step up and make a name for themselves .. which was great however the reality is they we’re in the shop window due to our circumstances and now we’re left with reletively nothing.

theres almost an entire level of the youth accademy thats been stripped away that needs replacing…which will take time

DC didn’t just save the club, he saved us fans.
Now the takeover is complete it’s crazy to realise how it affected us, feel quite relaxed for the first time in months.

I honestly think as time goes by we may become a bit disappointed and underwhelmed as the reality kicks in.
to summarise…. Weve just lost louis watson to luton… let that sink in.
a lad whos played at about 15 times still has a lot to learn has been drawn away from us cos he sees a greater opportunity and probably more money at luton town.
i hope like many have already said we dont end up filling the squad with aging journymen whos legs have gone. But then again perhaps thats all we can get atm.
we’re restricted with wages and so any semi decent young talent we have our eye on (eg watson) may be drawn to the champ if offered the chance.
Its going to be a real test for the club

You’re spot on. The EFL can’t be forgiven for their role in this. I agree with other posters, without the pressure from our fans on local MPs and the government the EFL could’ve created another bury. It’s not the EFL hierarchy per se, it’s the fact it’s the clubs regulating themselves. Descends into mob rule protecting self interest so it becomes about making sure a club stepping out of line doesn’t get an advantage and ensuring it’s penalised and not about helping a club in difficulty survive. We have been more than punished and the EFL business plan will continue that punishment.
That being said, I think the business plan would hurt us more in the Championship. I think in league one we will have enough headroom to build a competitive side.

Our friends at the EFL didn't take long to point out we remain under embargo.
    https://www.efl.com/news/2022/july/efl-statement-derby-county-exit-administration/
    The relevant extract reads:
"As part of the conditions of continuing membership in the EFL, the Club, whilst remaining under a registration embargo, will be permitted to sign new players in accordance with the terms of a business plan. The plan, which has been jointly agreed by the new ownership and the EFL, includes restrictions in respect of transfers fees, player wages and agents’ fees. Any application to register players must comply with the terms of those agreed plans."
I guess we all knew this was coming. What the statement does not say, is how long this will remain for. Is it the whole season? Is it the following season as well?
And what the terms are will dictate how competitive we can be. As before, we cannot even extend registrations for existing players without meeting the EFL's demands. While I'm grateful we still have a club, I will never forgive the EFL for what they did to us.

thing u have to question though is how much does he want it.
if he had a burning desire to find a club he would have got himself fit.
he could have trained with numerous clubs im sure in order to do and he decided against it
tbh he was a bit of a boy wander growing through the ranks at liverpool and i wonder if hes mentally got himself enough out of the game and doesnt need it
