Thought the ref was fine. Seen much worse. Good advantage for Derby’s goal.

I fully expect a tight game just as at yours. Two similar sides cancelling each other out. You nicked possession, just. You had 9 shots to our 11. Both had 2 on target. I expect similar stats tomorrow.
Quite a few of your fans have been saying we parked the bus. Stats seem to show that you did too. That or the defences ruled.

Having thunk abaht it fra while.... Could the discrepancies between what we think, based on unsold tickets, and the actual gate be down to a shortfall in corporate hospitality numbers?

I'm very pleased the club is playing its cards very close to its chest. It's denying the tabloids and the clickbait sites anything to print so they make it up. They copy the made up stuff from each other. They regularly regurgitate the same rubbish every couple of days. IMO they are not journalists. They are chancers who have found a way to make money through advertising revenue clicks. As a business model, it works. They are helped by the one journalistic trait they do seem to have, the ability to write come and read me headlines that persuade people to click open their "articles". Personally, I avoid them like the plague.

Let's look at one of them. Football League World. From people's comments on their posts, it appears they have linked us with Shinnie. He went to Aberdeen. Linked us with 3 centre halves, Nelson from Cardiff, one from Boro and one from Pompey. PW has said no interest in either Nelson or the Boro lad but that doesn't stop them rehashing the "rumour" every 2 or 3 days under another well written headline. They have also linked us with a Pompey CH. The lad is out of contract in the summer so, under the right circumstances, one could be led to believe it a possibility. However, they are promotion rivals. The player has started just about every game this season. Does FLW really think they'll let us have him for nowt as we're not allowed to pay fees? This week they have also linked us with a Villa player. No idea which one as I didn't open the link... never do. If anybody has read the "articles" I'd be happy to learn who the players from Boro, Pompey and Villa are.

I asked in the "gasroom" why we weren't getting the extra allocation. This was one of the replies...

SWFC only had 2572 at ours on Saturday. There were some untaken seats in the portion of our Family Stand allocated to them . The Family Stand is the lower tier of our biggest stand. There were Wycombe supporters with young children who moved to less appropriate parts of our ground or didn't come on Saturday. I am sure that you can understand it would be undesirable to split the upper tier and have opposition fans above our Family Stand whoever the opposition would be.
Our new owners have always been keen on the Match Day experience, and there are some seats in the ground for home supporters that it is necessary to walk 4 / 5 ths of the way round the ground to reach and leave those seats, if those stands have a split allocation. The queues for various facilities were greater than I have ever known on Saturday.
We were very close to selling out the remaining areas of our ground to our own fans. This despite the weather and the bad experiences of some of our fans on the first occasion against Ipswich when we split the two stands to sell additional seats to opposition supporters. We had more than 5700 Wycombe supporters in the ground for the game against SWFC and that number has been recently rising steadily. I can't think of any club in the country who would sell seats to opposition supporters and turn away their own supporters or even run the risk of turning away their own supporters. That is not a courtesy, that's rolling over to have your tummy tickled.
I reckon that we tried to increase the away allocation as an experiment, and from the point of view of our supporters it certainly wasn't an unalloyed success. It may well have been that if our home games against SWFC and DCFC had come in the reverse order, Derby fans would have been offered the additional seats and Sheffield Wednesday fans would not have been given the opportunity. I am sure that there is every chance that if we are play-off contenders towards the end of the season we won't be splitting our stands to increase the allocation for away supporters.
I think our club has acted sensibly and without prejudice in this matter.
I am sure that Derby will return to at least the Championship at some stage. As you say, whatever happens, enjoy your season.

It also seems that some families who usually use the Family Stand at a cost of £56 for man, wife and 2 kids were having to fork out around £90 in the other part of the stand. Many complaints received.
Us not getting the extra is perfectly understandable under the circumstances.

If we go on the premise that all teams at the top will win any games in hand they have (ours is Cheltenham at PP) and that we beat Ipswich at PP and win away at Plymouth and Wendy, we'd be just the 1 point behind Ipswich and 5 behind Wendy and the Gargoyles. A lot of ifs but top 2 isn't necessarily as far away as it might appear.
Can we bridge the gap? Yes. Will we? Hopefully but nobody knows which is why the game is so interesting.

Booo, your balanced and well informed post has made me feel bad for calling them a rude word now!
Seems it is a sensible step on their part, they have to look after their own fans and interests first as we would expect our club to do for us.
I do like the idea of it being used as a motivator by Warne, I want to keep this momentum and if it coincides with us beating Wycombe comfortably at their home ground then that’s a bonus

Been doing very well at LB. Keeping Roberts on the bench. Best defence in L1 which is amazing when you consider the RB is a midfielder, the LB is an attacking MF whose best position may be at 10, one centre half started out his footballing life as a left winger, became a left half, then a LWB, then a LB and is now probably having the best stint of his career at CH (I wonder if Wildsmith is starting to get worried ?  ) The other CH is the only one of the back 4 who is playing in his "proper" position.
