    Yeah, but fits who?

    Son?

    Grandson??😉

I have two of the former, none of the latter. It would fit the elder son and be somewhat oversized on the younger one who is 6'7 and of slim build.

Still fits me too. I do carry a few extra pounds but not that much and, now it's cycling weather again, I'll be back doing 800 to 900 km a month on my 20 speed Guerciotti Alero racing bike. Drop the 6Kg too much and then put it back on in the winter 😉

I think this was one of our best away shirts:

My first shirts were from the season before with the Puma sponsor instead of EDS. I had Wanchope on the back.

This is one of my favourite away shirts:

I have both the long and short sleeved versions of that one. I have too many, I suppose but that didn't stop me getting the green one and the yellow keeper's shirt this season... back the club.

I went to Anoki last weekend and they're really pushing a limited menu for March which I didn't think was good value. I think the Viceroy is on a par with Anoki but I'd also mention Mount Everest on London Road for a good Nepalese and Gurkha beer.

The Pepperpot restaurant has just opened on London Road https://www.pepperpotderby.co.uk/

We were over for the Stevenage game, mid February. Ate in the Anoki. Pretty expensive but well worth it as the service and food was excellent.

  4. Not on match day (Away fans not allowed) but a trip to the Neptune is recommended. 3 Indian restaurants close to each other. Anoki on London Road which is excellent but expensive. Round the corner on Midland Road you have two, the Viceroy which is cheapish, good but comes in 3rd place. Middling for price and very good food you have Shalimar Gold. Wagamama in the Derbion (mall) is good.

  5. I mentioned Adams, I read an unsubstantiated report elsewhere on tinterweb. I did use the word "apparently" and, when asked what I meant, explained about the unsubstantiated report elsewhere on tinterweb.

Without Adams in the sick bay we still appear to have 11 players unavailable  due to injury/knocks and a 12th suspended.

Smith, please. IIRC he played there during our good run last season when Warne was forced to go to a back 4.

Only one slight issue with that, Dave... Smith at RB would almost certainly mean Hourihane starting...

I thought Fornah was injured (his back).

Not seen anything to explain why he's not been around the team. I might have missed it. That's why I wrote "whatever happened to...." as I don't know if he's injured or simply out of favour.

    You'd pick Fornah over Hourihane?

Did I say that? Merely pointing out that the current injury situation plus "whatever happened to Fornah" means the skipper is nailed on to start.

    That’s the million dollar question.

Personally anyone but Ward for right back. Think Wilson would be my preferred choice purely because Smith at right back increases the chances of Hourihane starting.

Left back may have to be Elder. Means Sibley can assist us in the final third seeing as we were short in that area.

With Bird not ready, Adams apparently injured, whatever happened to Fornah, Hourihane looks nailed on to start.

  10. The good thing about this is there seems no way we can play a back 3 against Blackpool, Pompey or Wycombe. The only problem is, who plays right back? Ward? Wilson? Smith? How close is Rooney to a return? Tother side, do we start Elder or Sibs?

As much as I love the guy... and we have met, so I should know... can we just make it clear to all members of this family friendly forum that @MadAmster's wholly inappropriate tales of accepting drinks off strangers is neither big nor clever.

@Mucker1884 is going on the premise that the Jorrocks' local clientele were strangers to me back in 2010. He's wrong. He is correct in saying we have met and I'd be more than happy to repeat the experience as he's a good un.

  12. 30/1/2010. We hadn't won for something like 8 games. The Dogs hadn't lost in over 20 games. I was over with a PSV supporting teammate of mine over here. We were in the SW lower. 78th minute we got a free kick in the NE corner. I told my mate, Commons FK, Hulse header at the near post. Goal. I got that one right.

Later that day, in Jorrocks, folk heard us talking Dutch. Found out I was expat and my mate Dutch. They thought it brilliant we'd come over for the game. Next 4 or 5 pints were donated by complete strangers. Great day out.

Probably remembers the 4-2 when we were 3 nil up.  That one too me was even better. Both trying to stay up and we both knew whoever won was probably sending the other down.  Atmosphere was ridiculous that day in the wind.  5-0 was a fantastic day but we took the foot off.  Should have been 7 or 8 they were that bad.

The Kenco Cup game. I was over for that one too. Another great day out.
