RipleyRich got a reaction from Anag Ram in Rooney leaves
I have massive respect for how Rooney has handled himself through this difficult time and the way he galvanised the spirit between Club, Players and fans.
But I can't help feeling there is more to this story. Maybe it will come out in time.
In the meantime, with regards to who is next. Rosenior makes massive sense for continuity of last season's work and the work that will have been done in building a squad.
My only doubt is Rooney's statement about it needing someone with fresh energy and unaffected by last season's difficulties.
Is Rosenior unaffected?

Mark Warburton

If you are a true and loyal supporter of your club, not just Derby County, you take the rough with the smooth, the agony and the joy, but you remain a fan to your home club all your life.
I've been supporting, home and away, in the sunshine, snow, wind and rain, for 60 years, and I've seen it all from 1962 to 2022, with the good, bad and mediocre managers and players, but they all come and go in the end, but as a supporter all you can really do is watch and argue from the side lines with your mates and family of what the club and team should be doing.
I've watched and read about all the controversies, the record breaking transfers, the sackings and bust-up's, and twice, under Maxwell and Morris, close to liquidation, the promotions and relegations, but I'll still be there on Saturday 30th July to see them kick-off another season, my 61st.
Whoever the new owner, new manager and players are going to be, let's get out our flags, scarves and shirts and give them our wholehearted support for another season.

Indeed. The fact that the vulture-buyers, i.e. doing it on commercial terms, have been overlooked suggests he is going out on a limb. I suggest he is doing this to save the club as much as anything.
I don't think we can expect initial glory days. He will likely want to get promoted, pay down debt, run a tight ship for several years - and then sell at break even.
I just hope fans don't turn on him for not turning on the taps.

This is where any conversation should start and end.
The most important thing right now is saving this football club, if thats Clowes, Ashley, Appleby or even Kirchner, we should be extremely grateful.
Millions are being spent on a club that has little more than ourselves, the money it’s going to cost to purchase this club could potentially buy or even own a major stake in most Championship clubs.
It makes zero business sense buying this football club, none what so ever, so whoever it is that completes the purchase, we should be eternally grateful as we have been far too close to losing this club that means so much to us all.

Presumably this was the best of the final bids. At some point they are going to have to give exclusivity to someone - no bidder is going to start forking out for legal fees and stuff unless they have some guarantees. In and done within a week is *much* shorter than the exclusivity period Kirchner was given.

You have to hand it to Curtis , he loves the club. He really does want to stay. Getting out there to answer questions in front of the Sky cameras and warning that Div 1 is going to be tough. A true leader.

One thing showing a bank account with 50 million in it. Totally different thing both putting an actual bid in especially one that uses all 50 million. So far he appears to be just playing to the crowd.

"Interested Parties"
Not bidders
Not details of offers
Is that just informing EFL who has registered an interest? Is this on the back of the EFL whingeing last week about Q not sharing information?

It may have gone further than Q and could be waiting for creditors to accept or reject. Or maybe final negotiations with creditors.
