mcsilks
Nothing wrong with picking up the best players from teams who've gone down. If we were signing an entire team that had been relegated then it would be different, but you can still get good players in poor teams. Even Forest have a few. Who said O'Connor was their best player?! He was actually considered not good enough by the Doncaster Rovers management and spent most of last season warming the subs bench. "However he lost his first team place after [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Saunders]Dean Saunders took charge of the club in September 2011,and watched from the sidelines as "Donny" were relegated out of the Championship in last place in [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%9312_Doncaster_Rovers_F.C._season]2011–12" So we have signed a Donnie Rovers squad player, certainly not one of their first eleven players. Martyn
Hope not! Buxton is a bit injury prone, Roberts gets a few niggles. I think Brayford is a better CB than OB. Naylor looks very comfortable at RB.... If we avoid our usual CB death rate then hopefully he can play RB like he did in his first amazing season. I think it's * Shackell + * Buxton/OB (not sure NC's fave) then Brayford/Naylor So I think we'd have to have at least two simultaneous CBs down before Brayford gets a look. And there's a chance he'd use Naylor there instead to keep the balance if he's supposed to be good there also...

Yes, he was a victim of the Doncaster experiment that went drastically wrong. Dropping players like O'Connor is why they got relegated. I'll give SoD his due, he's a far better manager than Dean Saunders.

Awful awful manager. If Saunders thinks he cant play that's makes him plenty good enough for me.

He must have won his place back later then seeing as he started 25 games and made 5 sub appearances through the season.
jg96ram
To be honest, the only man who's opinion really matters is Nigel Clough. Or possibly Nijul Cluff...
bucktwo
slightly worried about this signing, not because of O'connor but because it may be part of a plan that takes Brayford away as part of a deal to bring in a striker
davenportram
slightly worried about this signing, not because of O'connor but because it may be part of a plan that takes Brayford away as part of a deal to bring in a striker I like conspiracy theories - I think it's the master plan to bring in a utility defender to be on the bench to provide cover for injuries, and back up to Roberts. Mind you there was a UFO at the Olympics opening ceremony do who knows?

SK47
I rate him, and hes got good experiance at this level. and if hes been training against El Hadg Doof ( who i think is one of the stronger wingers in the league ) i think he will prove to be a great signing. Hopefully without breaking the (non existant) bank.
EpidemicRam
Not heard that - is he a cheap striker? Its all over twitter, i imagine so. Scored 12 in 20 for burton. He's 21 and has recently come back from injury.
