Ghost of Clough
http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/18405-Keogh-bid-accepted One poster suggesting that there is an initial £250k with a further £750k spread over 1 year.
Albert
I hope Keogh comes to us it will make next season far more enjoyable if he's as good as they say. How many goals did Cov concede last season with him in their team ' 7 more than us... overall their defence is not the reason they went down from what I could tell. They were 18th overall (not all that great) conceding 7 more than us, but 3 less than Leeds, 12 less than Ipswich and a casual 15 short of Doncaster. So in the grand scheme of things it wasn't all that bad, a fairly mid table performance in defence. The issue was goals for them last year, they scored the least in the division. Keogh played pretty much every game for them last year.

Ambitious
Clough did talk about Ball going out on loan, not to long ago... perhaps something in it. I think it's fairly safe to say we've had a bid accepted, but whether or not Keogh wants to play infront of crowds or play for the dirties and big empty stands (probably bored of that at Coventry) or play for Franchise fc in their spanking new red kit but for more money. And Clough has been strongly linked with a move for Leeds United’s promising left-back Aidy White. Keogh seemed poised for a move to Cardiff City, but the Sky Blues have given the 25-year-old permission to speak to Clough, who needs to bring in a new central defender after the £1.1million sale of Jason Shackell to Burnley. The player is also believed to be a target for Bristol City and Leeds, and says he wants to speak to all interested parties before he makes a decision. Coventry are resigned to losing Keogh after he refused to sign a new contract. They have declined to reveal which club has had a bid accepted, but it looks certain to be Derby. Keogh stayed at home when Coventry set off on their pre-season trip to Scotland this week. Clough will not talk about his potential targets, but said: “We are interested in bringing a couple of players in before the start of the season. All we can do is put our best offer on the table. “We can also show them what we have to offer here in other ways apart from just money, and hopefully that will convince them.” Sky Blues boss Andy Thorn accepts that Keogh will return to the Championship and says: “There is an air of inevitability about Richard (leaving). Everybody is resigned to it.” Full-back White is also thought to be a possible target for the Rams. The 20-year-old has rejected a new deal with Leeds, but would command a fee of around £500,000 because of his age. Clough, meanwhile, has reacted angrily after missing out on Crewe Alexandra defender Kelvin Mellor, who has signed a new two-year deal at Gresty Road. The Rams had hoped to sign the 21-year-old by offering him a three-year deal. However, Crewe responded by making an improved contract offer for the third time, which the former Nantwich Town player has now accepted. Mellor is currently recovering from an ankle operation, but will be available for training within the month. Clough said: “We had a good meeting with Kelvin, his dad and a couple of representatives,. “I think they spent quite a bit of the meeting telling us how utterly dismayed and dejected they were about his treatment at Crewe. “Crewe put a year on the table, which they felt was disrespectable in terms of the terms.
