Why can't you just read the posts, respond with your opinion perhaps with the reason you have come to this opinion and let the others keep their opinions if that is what they wish for. StockholmRam Posted July 23, 2012 Share Posted July 23, 2012 I asked the question regarding the extent of football knowledge of our owners/board.The usual suspects came back and apparently they not only know everything about football but more than the rest of the league committee and the rest of us.Well believe that you'll believe anything.No evidence produced except that Man City appointed Glick!Sorry they have got him as a sales and marketing man.He showed his ignorance on football matters when he was with us,Appleby knows less than my missus.The rest of them know piss-all. Top 6... GSE have appointed good football people within the structure of the club. Mal Brannigan and John Vicars are board members who run the day to day business of the club. They both have a wealth of experience from working in football having worked at different clubs on their way up. The back up staff to them ( their management team) also come from a good solid football background. I think you are being wildly unfair to Tom Glick saying he is ignorant about football. He has learned fast...so fast that he was invited to FL committee pretty quickly. In my humble opinion its a sad day for DCFC when he goes. He is a superb CEO and has done more good for DCFC than most people realise. Man City want to go up to the top echelon of football clubs. Up there with United, Barcelona, Juventus etc as a global force. They can afford, cherry pick the very best of the best can City. You see where this is going right?? Appleby does not need to know the ins and outs of football..he just needs to know which wise team to appoint. He has done just fine so far. I just notice that you had been on the New CEO thread where I quite clearly stated about some of our board members football back ground and experience. You THEN choose to jump over to this thread and claim that no evidence has been given to you about our directors football knowledge. To quote you " the rest of them know piss all". You know, if you could actually provide I decent argument you'd find me agreeing with you. But we get "board-luvvies". For asking you to justify yourself? I'm sure there are lots of things you could criticise the board for, some things I'm sure they can be praised for. There is one big thing you can criticise the owners for (which I agree about). I feel I can support my opinion with some logic & evidence. If you could do the same I'd respect your opinion even if I didn't agree with your conclusions.
