Ghost of Clough
Joe Mattock...didn't one or two people tout him as a decent left back option? There's some good players that West Brom are releasing...wonder why? The next West Brom manager might not want them? At least they have a wider choice of options this way. Ambitious
Nicky Shorey or Joe Mattock would be a great signing for us... and that Tchoyi would be a belting signing also, I feel that wages may have been an issue? perhaps WBA are cutting back? Gary Teale
None of the are in the side so getting rid not that strange really. I remember that Mattock was the next bigthing a few years back. Clearly not improved and moved up to early
Ambitious
Mattock has been loaned out this season so can see why he has gone, expect Brighton to be the ones to collar him. Nicky Shorey is a funny one, but definitely premier league quality and can see Reading going in for him (prodigal son and all that) Tchoyi is a quality player though, can't understand why he has gone... think he'll go abroad, can't see him staying in England. ramexpat
Michael Owen released by Manure , wages might be more than all our squad combined , [url=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7761779/]http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7761779/

randombc
Could see Owen going to America, still be on silly money, and it would be a nice place to spend a few years of his life, rather then the north west of england! Can't see us even thinking about signing any of the released players from the prem, teams that have money will go after them or maybe a few of the promoted teams. Catch 23
'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Can't wait for the Owen rumours, think someone like Bolton could go for him... close to Manchester, and at his age I cant see him moving heaven and earth for a club. No way, he's given some guff about how 'the championship is not an option', as if he's above it all (Kevin Philips and Lee Bowyer don't seem to have this problem, and Kevin Davies seems willing to stay). Frankly he's ruined his career by being a benchwarmer at Manure, at a West Brom or a Fulham he would be in the starting 11 every week...but then, they wouldn't pay as much, would they? Besides, Bolton apparently have to halve their wage budget to survive in the Championship, so I wouldn't see too many big names joining them pre-season. Ramchope
Just seen Zak Whitbread has been released by Norwich, decent player and would be a good partner for Shackell although he seems yet another injury prone player.
Whoneedshuls
Stoke City are also preparing to bid £7m for the Derby duo John Brayford and Jeff Hendrick. But with both players being first teamers the Rams could hold out for £9m. Found this on a rumour site and laughed my head off lol

Stoke have played CB's at right back all season and do not possess a CM who can put his foot on the ball. Both would improve their team. As long as the £7m+ was up front and not in add-ons we probably would have to accept it. If its true. Hope not. Hope NC gets chance to put a promotion team together.
