the464444
Nope, top, top manager. Consistancy is what we need. But under him England have been consistently shoite, have they not?
Ghost of Clough
Even though I wouldn't want him, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Pardew.
Ambitious
The Don has done as well as possible with the crap he has to deal with. The best man for the job, and personally i think we should do anythibg to persuade him to continue. swansea ram
Could be worse, we could be looking at a joke like Gary Speed!! Could you imagine having to sink THAT low?? I quite agree. Imagine picking a manager who has won his last 5 games, Montenegro, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Sweeden, and stuffed Norway 4-1, and took us up 80 odd places in FIFA rankings. Alex W
Wales only failed to get a draw at Wembley because Earnshaw missed a sitter. Otherwise they'd have earned a very respectable draw against us. Infact, the gap between Wales and us is probably bigger than the one between us and Spain, and they created a better chance than we did. Had Spain had luck on their side they'd have beaten us 3-1. We dug in, but we were lucky. That and Lescott looked like a totally different person. Partnership with Jagielka unlocks his best form perhaps. Anyway, Capello is alright, unfortunately our side is nowhere near as good as the nation likes to think. A fair few manages better than Capello who we could have now though. Not sure I care to have an English manager, but Harry Redknapp seems like the best option. You need someone who gets on with the players in the England job, otherwise they have a mard and don't perform, like they did at the World Cup. Gary Speed is doing a cracking job with Wales, instilling a new style and team selection. They've got a young team, within 5 years I expect they could be a better side than any other British side (or ROI) other than England. Rocky start but that happens when you're building something totally different, there's a learning curve.
CumbrianRam
I yet to have an proof how Harry Redknapp is better than Cappello. I suppose the right passport can you a lot of favours in the media.
sage
I reckon Stuart Pearce will be the next England Manager. I think it's already been decided. A 64 year old alleged tax evader with a dodgy heart is not going to get the job.

Ambitious
Stuart Pearce as manager 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I sincerely hope not, saying that he has done well with the under 21s despite not having the best players to work with, but meh, not really convincing enough. sage
When asked recently he said he isn't ready and not interested, also signed a new deal with the U21's. Well I don't see how he could say anything else, without causing a fuss. I think the amount of his u21 players coming through to the full team will persuade both him and the FA. I wonder how much the FA will have to pay the FA in compensation if they appoint him?
-JW-
Hate how the british media orgasm over redknapp, he did nothin special with west ham, bankrupt pompey, relegation scrap with saints and at spurs he has had loads of money to spend. Talks complete ******** in the sun aswell.
Alex W
I wouldn't think his appointment would be a tactical one, nor that he's a brilliant manager, but he's one the players would get on with and he knows the national sides limitations. Seems like a good appointment for a national manager. With the tax evasion thing, there are players with criminal prosecutions, players who've cheated on their wives with hookers/teammates girlfriends (ex or otherwise) and a fair few other unwanted allegations too. I'm sure that small hitch wouldn't affect the selection process. His heart condition might however, depending on how his health is and what he need to do to keep healthy.
