Butthead
whatever the 1st day line up is, the biggest positive is that we now have a squad without having to rely on loan players in key positions anymore. don't get me wrong as some of our past loanees have been bloody good like Kuqi and Dickov, but it's far better to have players on the books and going to be sticking around. really hope Riggott wins himself a contract, he really was such a good player for us at a difficult time. derby lad through and through and I know he's a bloody good bloke too

Ambitious
I'd go with ----------------------------------------Fielding-------------------------------------- Brayford--------------Shackell--------------Barker-------------Roberts --------------------------------------------Bailey -----------------------------Bryson------------------B.Davies ---------------Ward--------------------Tyson----------------------S.Davies 4-3-3. With the players we have in at the minute. I think the players in bold are all set to start, the ones in bold could be looked to be replaced. SpankWFC
Alot of people are putting Maguire (or another forward) behind the main striker and I don't think this is the way to line up a 433. That player will be more of a box to box player like Green, Pearson(?) or Bryson. If it is is a forward then we will essentially be playing a 442. --------------------------------Fielding Brayford----------Barker----------Shackell---------AN Other -----------------------Bailey-------AN Other --------------------------------Green -------Ward--------------------------------------Waghorn (Hopefully) --------------------------------Tyson That still leaves Bryson, Maguire, Pearson, Addison, Riggot, Davies etc to fight for places. I think we need more options in the DM position. Even if we sign Eustace I think that only leaves us with the two midfielders who naturally fit in there. Everywhere else (apart from the obvious need for a LB) we look to have good options. I would like to see another promising youngster in there; someone like Mark Randall. Albert
It's awesome that not only is there some level of debate about our starting lineup, but there's still players coming it. I just looked at Portsmouth's squad... At least the team picks itself!
smiffy
I'll wait and see. I have a sneaky feeling, (we maybe more, a hope ), that a big and surprise signing is still going to happen, one to please, and surprise us all.

davenportram
'Kin hope so....don't suppose you have alinky to that do you? It was in a Ramsplayer interview, either the one talking about Shackell joining or the one about the summer signings so far. Clough also said that the signings already made and the targets we are after were key reasons players chose us over other teams - the facilities, fans being other key reasons.
