"When Warne took over" not "before Warne took over"

Thought it was quite clear that the comparison was with the first month or so under Warne vs the current position under Warne - seeing as he's had a year + a month - nothing to do with Rosenior.

The OP wasn't a fan of Rosenior.

The post claimed we had not improved on rosenior , people replied to that then you claim you don’t get the slagging off rosenior thing to stand up for warne 🤷‍♂️

That may be your interpretation of the post, but that's not what it said.

Considering the poster was very complimentary of Warne in his first month or two because they saw what he was doing as an improvement on Rosenior - and it's essentially the same stuff we're doing now -  it would be rather odd for them to now be saying they don't think he's improved on Rosenior.

...but it is Roy 😉

We haven't improved since Rosenior though.

I wonder if Mr Clowes wished he'd hitched his 'long term plan' to a more forward-thinking football manager? But he chose a 'promotion specialist', so we can see how he thinks?

It's fairly obvious to me that Clowes is looking to flip Derby ASAP & that's why he went for a so called League One expert. It's sort of backfired on him now that we're still on League 1 & not guaranteed to get automatic promotion

I don't think that's obvious at all. If it was he wouldn't have bothered with the Academy for a start. I think ideally he would like to get us in a strong position in the Championship, ready to challenge for promotion to the Premiership with a sound infrastructure and then sell

Is it even possible (without 22 other teams receiving significant points deductions) to have guaranteed automatic promotion by the end of October 😀

On a serious note, I agree he is probably looking to sell on as soon as he reasonably can but I'm not sure he was relying on (or even expecting) promotion in year one. I therefore don't think it's backfired on him yet.

My point was that the warne rosenior comparison was initially rolled out again by the anti warne side , personally I don’t see much value in it now not least by the fact there’s not enough sample size of rosenior at derby to make it relevant and again personally I wish both of them success 🤷🏻‍♂️

And there you have it 🤷🏻‍♂️, not that I mind Roy’s opinion but very much the case of starting off the warne v rosenior stuff that then gets turned into slagging off rosenior if anybody disagrees

Yep, I don’t get the impression that dc is not a stupid man and only a stupid man would build a plan on being certain of promotion no matter who they put in charge in our situation when he took over , perhaps thought warne gave us the best chance of a quicker return but eggs all in one basket ,,,,,,naw 🤷🏻‍♂️

im also pretty sure dc would snatch the hand off any buyer who came in with the financial clout and right plan to take us forward so he could go back to being just a fan turning up and cheering from the stands like the rest of us , like he’s done for years

...except the initial post to which you refer wasn't comparing him to Rosenior, as the applause reaction me suggesting what it was actually about shows.

There was no mention of Rosenior or comparison to Rosenior until after he'd been brought up by someone criticising his football.

Unfortunately I can't control what someone says after the post which is being referred to - which didn't say what you claim it said - has been made.

I can think of few things less correct than than the idea that the comparisons between Rosenior & Warne are typically made by people who are anti-Warne.

Thanks for clearing that up 😂

Meh. It's not perfectly written and it sure hasn't been proof-read,  but it's just about clear enough what was meant. 🤣

I'll probably just spare the effort next time, people can just read a book instead.

Seriously though. What's your problem?

We've never really had any arguments or 'heated' discussions nor have I historically interacted negatively with your posts. Generally I think we've agreed on most matters.

I've not done or said anything to or about you which should have lead to the attitude you've displayed toward me the last couple of days, but you seem set on targeting my posts for ridicule? Taking the one yesterday totally out of context and jumping on a discussion you've not even been a part of just to be an arse to me

Mate, my first post was a joke! You need to lighten up. The rest is just a massive overreaction. I was just pulling your leg and you then tell me to f*** off and ask what's me my problem!

No biggy anyway. As you were.

That's all OK then, no worries! Apologies.

It just felt like there was a pattern forming.

This place messes with your head.

f*** on! 😄
