In all seriousness though, yes get it done early.

Nice things to drink or eat are probably better than gismos etc.

And remember, it is the thought that counts.

And if you don't like the person but are obligated to get them something, consider donating to charity or buying them an NFT.

To be honest, what I was owed was right down the bottom of the list. I feel for those near the top that will have lost a shed load of money.
