Comrade 86
Been a really good match. So bloody typical that a reffing blunder upsets the balance. Think the lads have shown up really well though, so not all doom and gloom

Comrade 86
Silly question perhaps but can the linos not advise the ref if he makes a mistake? Always wonder how all match officials can miss stuff like that. Not a great lover of VAR but do wonder why these obviously bad calls go unchallenged. The NFL model works so much better. We don't have much choice right now. The bench only has 3 outfielders - a defender who played the full 90 on Saturday, another who hasn't played for 6 months, and a CF

Comrade 86
Just now, Ghost of Clough said: Apparently some refs tell the linos only to watch for when the ball goes out of play. All other decisions down to the ref Seems daft really. You'd think the refs would be grateful for any help given the pelters they get when they drop a bolark. Bit prima donna to actively prevent linos offering a second opinion.
angieram
Wasn't a good decision from the referee but we still have to defend the free kick better than that.
Comrade 86
Ah well. Myopic refs aside, this is the best I've seen the lads play for a fair while. Working really hard and not looking remotely overawed by a very strong Chelski outfit.
Stuniverse
Looked like a free-kick to me on the replay. A soft one, granted, but Dixon was nowhere near the ball. Dixon challenged from the side and didn’t get the ball like he claimed.

It's the modern world, the modern world would rather have teams like Chelsea winning by default, so common sence, the truth and anything to do with integrity, honesty, sportsmanship and all the rest gets pushed aside. As CKR is just saying we have a lot, a lot of honest guys, so we're unfortunately doomed!
