Suspect he’s just wearing that number for now because we’ve had new training kits made with the number 1 on. Personally I’m expecting him to go out on loan for next season. That’s the one exception I can think of - though his squad number was changed prior to going out on loan. We also didn’t give anyone number 9 whilst he was out on loan the previous couple of seasons.
