Grumpy Git
Didn't review an LBW given not out and it was knocking-over leg stump. England's confidence is totally shot. Alty_Ram
Alty_Ram
7 minutes ago, Mr Tibbs said: If they took the ignorance and utter brainless approach out of Bazball it would be fine. You can be aggressive without taking on a stupid amount of risk. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the way Crawley and Duckett built our innings with a run rate of 5. What came after was kamikaze. The best teams have to be adaptable regardless of how they want to play and what we've seen has been far from that. We were in such a good position, Aussie bowlers not looking threatening and then we turned it into one-dimensional cack. For how bad Sibley, Burns and co. were they didn't get spanked at home in an Ashes series - something which is now on the cards. However positively you play it, Test Match Cricket has always had an element of knowing when to put the hammer down and when to slowly grind the fight out of the opposition. It was a great start, positive, but not suicidal and we just needed more of the same to be right in it but they totally folded. It's not helped by the fact that several players seem to be well below par and you know that you can't be anything but your best against the Aussies. This is set for a crushing defeat. Aussies have a 200 lead with 9 wickets in hand. They can pretty much pick their declaration target and I imagine that it'll look like batting on a minefield by time time England get out there again. Really, really disappointing stuff. AndyinLiverpool, Mr Tibbs and Carnero

England's confidence is totally shot. The problem is Broad wants to review evrytime he hits the pads or beats the outside edge we’d have no reviews left after half hour. He wanted to review 2 decisions just before tea which he would have lost its a difficult balancing act with broad luckily lambuchagne was out not long after Grumpy Git

AndyinLiverpool
Dropped an absolute gaper but then Smith out pulling. Australia falling into the same obvious traps as England. I'm not sure I understand what's happening. RadioactiveWaste

RadioactiveWaste
Well, who else thinks we're going to throw away our wickets this evening acting like it's a 50 over game with a high target and be all out for below 200 with at least two sessions left?
