Remind me how many chances he's needed to have them bounce in off him?

At least he is getting into scoring positions, now if we are being fair and comparing all round pluses and minus ‘s Martin or Marriott are certainly doing no better and perhaps worse , so so funny watching the biased reaction to leaving him on and taking Martin off when we went down to ten men at reading after 4 minutes as if it was a no brainier ,,, that was nothing more than biased ignore the blatantly obvious

I was disappointed to see Martin go off at Reading as I thought we would need him to hold the ball up and bring others into play. However,  I also thought Waghorn had one of his better all-round games for Derby and he is certainly quicker than Martin so was good in the transition. Happy to be proved wrong to some degree but such a shame he didn't really get hold of his one big chance in front of goal.

For those mentioning corners, he did take at least one from the right against Reading.

Martin and Marriott would get in similar positions but then who would create? What did Waghorn do but miss a(nother) one on one that Marriott or Martin would have buried.

In a ten man team for 90 mins he has the legs and work rate to close down and defend from the front with the potential to score too , now if you fancy Martin as being the better option because you feel he holds the ball up better then fair enough ,it’s opinion but no no no way is it a clear cut manager is blind don’t know what he’s doing substitution and to see it that clear cut is just pure biased

Yep the things we don’t do ALWAYS work well or or least would certainly would have if only we had done it that way ,, silly old cocu ,if only he had kept Chris on we would have won 3 -1 with a Martin hatrick, why oh why can’t he see that

Well cocu has brought Martin back into the fold and he is fairly regular starter ,,, how wells that working ?

Better when he plays with support - are the best periods of play even - don't let that get in the way of your point though. ?

He’s playing , we are not scoring or winning , by your logic it’s clear we would be winning if we dropped him and Marriott took his place

Saw that Sunderland(again) are after Martin on a loan deal in January. Shame, I’d still have Martin around as a second or third back up. With the Marriott links to Hull, must mean we are signing at least one new forward, unless Cocu plans on playing Rooney right up top, which would be a mistake imo, he’d be better as a no 10 and help to solve the lack of creativity from midfield
