I had an autographed football from the arthur cox era.

the team got relegated so i gave it to a charity shop!

i also had the full set of home programmes, bound, for the .1971-72 season - gave that to alan hinton.

Kevin hector home debut programme - signed by the king.

a clock presented by the club to her indoors dad, who played for derby in the 50s.

When did he play in the 50's? My grandad played in the early 50's, they may have been in team mates.

I have an autograph ball from 97/98 season and one from the last few years. Also have Josh Lelan's shirt signed by the team from when he sat on the bench from the 12/13 season.

Also have a signed Burton Albion ball from last season that I won. Think that could be worth a bit in a few years time, the only time Burton stayed in the Championship (just kidding @ronnieronalde , they might get promoted back up next season )

A 1945 FA Cup programme, if authentic, will be a real collectible.

p.s. I have still got a scar where l got beat up by a couple of Ram fans at Elm Park back in the mid 80's. I bet it was some Lad from Uttoxeter.

There won't be many 1945 Cup final programmes about...

Mid 80's eh? Rules me out, got married in 83 and have lived under petticoat government ever since.

I also have not one but TWO, signed Richard Keogh match day programmes for the MK Dons game which he failed to make a mistake in and was named man of the match. Jealous much? Thought so.

Looks like he made a mistake when he signed the second one

The old BBG pic that I think the Telegraph did a job lot of:

EUR1ceE.jpg

Big pic of the day at Wembley against WBA, that when I was working at Wembley was hung in one chaps office and when I told him I was there and was in the pic he arranged for a copy to be sent to me.

And a few DET prints

Got a few signed footballs at folks house, but was given a number 14 substitutes Patrick shirt by Roy Mac when I was a nipper, unfortunately got stolen when my kitbag was nicked at Mickleover Sports

They would have been team mates then. This game was his debut, he is the keeper.

They would have known each other.

it looks like they broke through at the same time, but never actually played together

our man made his debut three weeks earlier v huddersfield and played in the next three including a 6-0 win over middlesborough and man utd at home. He played the previous week v burnley, but not in the game your grandfather then made his debut in.....

That's brilliant, I will ask him next time I go round see if he remembers him.

Colin Bell played left half (no. 6) in the second Rams game which I saw, away at Leeds, 14/10/53 - long before they became the Dirties.

Rams lost 3-1, with big Norman Neilsen scoring. John Charles played for Leeds that day - nice bit of info which you may not have been aware of - along with Albert Johannson, who I believe was the first black league footballer.

Bell did in fact play 77 league games, scored twice, plus 2 appearances in the FA cup, and interestingly played in the league in all outfield positions from no.2 to no.9, bettered only as far as I am aware by Steve Powell.

Had a chat with my grandad and remembers him well, said Sammy Crooks signed them both for Gresley Rovers and played together there.

Unfortunately Colin never spoke about his playing days. He was a very quiet and quite a shy person. But now just looking at his career details it is  interesting. i can see he played with three of the cup winning team, and against some great names - wilf mannion for boro, alf ramsey  and bill nicholson for spurs, jackie milburn for newcastle, joe mercer for arsenal, malcolm allison for west ham, some of the busby babes including roger Byrne and david pegg (both killed at munich) and johnny berry (survived but never played again). Also played in front of 41000 at  old trafford.

He gave me peter doherty's autobiography. After i read it i flogged it on ebay.

What an ungrateful pillock. I really regret that.
