admira
AKA as Young DCFC Player of the Year. Several years ago I contacted the club to see if they could provide the definitive list of all winners of this award. We exchanged a few emails but nothing ever came of it. It would be a shame if this part of DCFC history wasn't recorded somewhere for prosperity and I've always thought it would be interesting to see which players 'made it, either with us or at another club. The 'where are they now' Gary Twigg story in the DET today prompted me about the subject again as it says Twigg won the trophy in 2001. What chance of all us stattos piecing together the missing names? Cyrus Christie won it in 2015/16 as your starter for 10..

JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
I seem to remember Ben Pringle picking up an award like this? Might be talking crap again though, always a possibility.

PodgeyRam
Crazy thing is 3 years after winning Hughes is still eligible to win it again. Will probably be Lowe this year given we don't like giving it to the same player more than once (not that Lowe won't deserve it either). Off the top of my head some past winners: Christie Hanson Hughes Hendrick Addison Pringle Bailey
Carl Sagan
Here's a source for the mighty Miles Addison: http://www.killiefc.com/en/miles-addison_50405/ and one for Tom Ince: http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/derby-county-hughes-wants-improve-awards-sweep/story-26442648-detail/story.html and Will Hughes for 13/14: http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/will-hughes-signs-a-new-long-term-contract-at-derby-county-1709157.aspx So we have: 15/16 Cyrus Christie 14/15 Tom Ince 13/14 Will Hughes 12/13 Will Hughes 11/12 Jeff Hendrick 10/11 James Bailey 09/10 Ben Pringle 08/09 Miles Addision 07/08 Lewis Price 06/07 Giles Barnes 05/06 04/05 Lionel Ainsworth 03/04 02/03 01/02 00/01 Gary Twigg
Anon
02/03 Lee Grant (Wiki does list a dcfc.co.uk page as a source, but the link is broken) Lee Camp is definitely a previous winner. I would guess 03/04.

Wikipedia says Ainsworth signed his first pro contract in 2005, so hardly the same kind of young player of the year as a Will Hughes, Tom Ince or Cyrus Christie would be. According to this we also have Scholar of the Year and Under 21 player of the year. 2015s Academy Player of the Year was Matt Yates. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/end-of-season-awards-night-review-2440239.aspx

LazloW
LOL. Sorry to be snarky, but all these 'I think so and so might have win it at some point but I might be wrong' posts aren't really going to help with the OP's wish for a definitive list! admira
Good work so far all, thanks. I'm surprised that Mason Bennett never won it but he's only about 14 now so plenty of time! I wonder when the trophy started.? Surely someone like Gerald Mortimer would know? Maybe I'll contact him with the list people have come up with so far and see if he can fill in the gaps.
