Good work so far all, thanks. I'm surprised that Mason Bennett never won it but he's only about 14 now so plenty of time!

I wonder when the trophy started.?

Surely someone like Gerald Mortimer would know? Maybe I'll contact him with the list people have come up with so far and see if he can fill in the gaps.

He died a couple of years ago

I am really surprised that there isn't a definitive list of players that have won the award, it is a pretty key award for the club.  Do we know when it started?

As a side question does anyone here contribute to any of the Derby County wiki pages?  I know some clubs have extensive reviews of each of the seasons, details of transfers etc.

I agree with this although can't find a source

Tom Huddlestone 03/04 - from Lee Grant's wiki -  "Tom Is Young Player of the Year". Derby County F.C. 1 May 2004. Retrieved 16 February 2008 (link no longer works)

I would imagine Jason Kavanagh & Craig Ramage may have won it?

Craig Ramage I think won it and possibly Dean Sturridge

I'm having a really boring night in.
