I'm a Norwich fan. We wil lose easily. Players and manager fell out big time. Neil will be gone either after we lose to you or after we lose to Brentford at home in the next game. Will make no difference though until we can get shot of half the overpaid wasters and get some hunger back In the team.

We had something similar with Paul Clement, went from top to 6th and looked awful for a while, when that happens it's usually the manager who gets booted.

Always nice when visiting fans drop in  (we even try to offer counselling to a few forest fans )

Thought I'd visit the forum and see the Derby fans thoughts on the possible outcome of the game.

Quite a few thought it would be tough game and a draw would be a great result.

Probably not realising how out of form we are (which is fair enough). We've kept something like 2 clean sheets in 12 months. We concede from a set peice every game.

Our early season form was masked by playing poor teams and the emergence of Jacob Murphy (who has since gone off the boil)

We have a fractured squad consisting of players who are:

a) disinterested/upset at being denied moves back into the premier league  (Brady,Olsson,Klose) who should be good players at this level but aren't bothered.

B) out of contract in the summer and are on lower end premier league wages who have underperformed for 2 years and not as good as they think (Ruddy, Bassong, Bennett, Mulumbu) who will be released.

C) Players who attitude can't be questioned but aren't as good as they were 2 years ago. (Martin, Tettey, Jerome)

D) The dross Neil has signed since he came here. 14 players in 2 years yet only 1 is considered first team and a step up to what was here before (Pinto)

He paid 2.5mil for Canos (1 start) 8.5mil for Pritchard (2 starts) and 6mil for Oliveira (1 start) in the summer. The only good performance out of that was Pritchard's against Rotherham.

Countless "number 10's" Naismith (8mil) Been useless and lazy. Barely makes the bench. James Maddison (2.5mil) always loaned out. Pritchard barely gets on the bench.

The likes of Matt Jarvis, Graham Dorrans, Youssuf Mulumbu, Naismith all players he's payed decent money to who are 30. Spent the last 5 years earning premier league money sat on a bench and wonders why there's no hunger or desire.

Also we (Norwich) have 1 way of playing. 4-2-3-1, trying to play tiki taka out from the back. If closed down well we will give up chances due to this.

We play with a narrow 3 behind an isolated Jerome with full backs pushed up high for width. When we turn over possession this leaves the centre halfs exposed if the opposition takes advantage of the gap where the fullbacks should be. Particularly highlighted if Pinto isn't fit and Russell Martin has to play RB due to his lack of pace

We will give up lots of free headers from corners/free kicks into the box. Our defence also gets done by the ball over the top to a quick striker and they don't deal with crosses.

We miss Jonny Howson (injured) big time. One of best midfielders in the league imo. His drive, leadership and passion alone we could do with.

We also don't come back from going behind and Neil doesn't make subs until late on and has rarely/if ever made any changes to get us back into games.

Hard to tell what team we will line up with as he's bound to make changes after 5 straight defeats. He has a lot of options in some areas but none in others.

Brady will have to play left back as Olsson got sent off against QPR. Will show glimpses of quality going forward but is a defensive liability when pushed back. Wasteful and lazy this season

The only option for the 2 holding midfielders is Tettey and Louis Thompson as Howson and Mulumbu are injured and Dorrans picked up his 5 yellow. The rest of the team is drawn out of a hat stuff.

Ones to watch out for are the Murphy (identical) twins. Two young wingers from the academy who will go onto bigger and better things than Norwich sadly. Very quick, can use both feet, go Inside or outside. Scored some cracking goals this season and have been the only bright light so far really. Neil will only play 1 at a time unfortunately which is likely to be Jacob from the start as he's featured most this season and was our best player in the last game. Still learning and they make the wrong choices at times but Jacob will be our biggest threat going forward.

The other is young Louis Thompson. Played excellent in the cup games this season. Started his first league game for us against Leeds because of suspensions and was man of the match. Covered every blade of grass. Gave it everything. Gimme 10 of him and win, lose or draw I'd come away knowing we busted a gut to try and win a football match.

Of course in true Alex Neil style he dropped him for the next game to bring the underperforming Tettey back in once he served his suspension. He doesn't have a choice not to play him in this game

Hi guys, new poster from Sweden here.

me and my mate are going to our maiden Derby game tomorrow, and we wonder what pub to visit to meet up with the proper originals. Any suggestions??

Any of the 3 by the train station (Waterfall, Victoria Inn and Merry Widows) and then a steady stroll down the road to the Brunswick and the Alexandra Hotel.

Or if you are already in town a crawl of Thomas Leaper > Standing Order > Jorrocks > Neptune is a fairly standard order of play.

Standing Order, Alexandra and Brunswick get very busy though.

Enjoy the game!

Blimey you need cheering up.  How about this?  Ipswich are much worse than you, and they beat us at home.  (Before the return of SuperMac though).

Norwich fan here.

I expect you to beat us comfortably.

You are coming up against a team which has the capability in their squad to tear you to shreds. But one which isn't playing for their manager, who doesn't know what his best XI is, and a guarentee that whatever back 4 we put out will be one that has forgotten how to defend.

Unless your attacking players have one of those mad days where the ball just doesn't go in, I'd be happy to speculate that we can expect to see 3 Derby goals, preceded by 3 defensive errors of Sunday League proportions.

We'll probably respond with 1 worldie from one of the amazing Murphy twins, leaving us to face a somber journey back to Norfolk wondering how long we'll be able to keep hold of the aforementioned twins should our clueless board continue to back a manager who has lost the plot.

You'll be left wondering how the hell we've ever been mentioned as promotion contenders, and Norwich fans will be left hoping that the next time we meet it will be under a new manager who can motivate these players to show you at Carrow Road next year.

Honest assessment. You'll understand all of the above of course, having seen Derby under both Pearson and McClaren this season.

Were full confordance mate and we know how good our team is and we know were going tear you apart sorry mate.

Don't know why you are saying sorry, considering you are just agreeing with me.

Its difficult to come to any other conclusion seeing the way that the likes of Ince and Hughes are playing at the moment, and how bad our defense is.

Ironically we aren't short of players of that quality up front either, just that we are completely incapable of defending under this manager and you can.

That's the difference mate, you can defend. We aren't short of Tom Ince's, we're short of Richard Keogh's.

And if any evidence is required then look at the GF and GA columns of any reliable Championship table, were you will see that we are the leagues 2nd highest scorers but the leagues 3rd worst defense.

Sounds like it'll be a really entertaining game either way then.
